Leonard, Coleman and Blunt
Three former lead singers from three of the world’s most renowned vocal groups… which collectively have sold over 100 million records …“The Temptations”, “The Platters”, and “The Drifters”… have come together to create the ultimate musical experience, “Leonard, Coleman & Blunt.”
Glenn Leonard, former lead tenor, “The Temptations,” (heard around the world as the lead on the group’s classic, “Silent Night,”)(1975-1983), Joe Coleman, former lead singer, “The Platters,” “Only You”, “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” (1988-2004), and Joe Blunt, former lead singer of “The Drifters” “Under The Boardwalk”, “On Broadway” (1975-1985),together, bring their rich blend of classic hits and showmanship to the stage.
Most recently, “Leonard, Coleman & Blunt” wowed the audience at the re-opening of the famed Howard Theater in Washington D.C. Their “Motown Tribute”, arranged and produced by Award winning producer, George Duke, brought the audience and legendary honoree, Berry Gordy, to their feet. The same week, the group performed in the Annual Cherry Blossom Parade, which was aired on ABC-TV, to rave reviews. They were also featured at the TV-One/Radio One Christmas Gala for its legendary founder, Cathy Hughes.
“Leonard, Coleman & Blunt” has recently released their new Christmas single, written and produced by Joe Coleman, entitled “You’re All I Want For Christmas”, available on Itunes, Amazon and all major download sites. In addition, “Leonard, Coleman & Blunt” recorded a DC Statehood song entitled “Stand Up 4 DC” that was commissioned by the ACLU. This song was also written and produced by group member, Joe Coleman.
Reminisce as “Leonard, Coleman & Blunt” return you to the days of rhythm and romance…to an era when “The Temptations,” “The Platters” and “The Drifters,” ruled the airwaves and brought joy to millions through their music.
