Hi guys, I'm a journalist. You may remember that I interviewed Terron Brooks a while back. Well, my mother and uncles were a very popular Memphis band during the 1970s and '80s known as The Dealers. They were successful enough to record an album for CBS Records in 1985 when Michael Jackson was on the label. They also opened for, recorded and performed with artists such as Marvin Gaye, Eddie Kendricks, The Eagles, The Supremes, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jeffrey Osbourne, The Spinners, Kool and The Gang, Cameo, The Pointer Sisters, and many many more. I recently published a book about The Dealers and while reading it, you'll come across new stories about the previously mentioned artists and many others. There's also mention of David Ruffin, whose road manager later became The Dealers' manager. Here is the official press release, where you can preview The Dealers' music, watch a documentary about them and buy the book on Kindle or Paperback. www.ajdugger.com/1/post/2013/07/the-dealers-then-and-now-official-press-release.htmlAlso, I have a free excerpt from the book available for download on my website. Wanna hear never before heard stories about Marvin Gaye, Eddie Kendricks and Ray Charles? Visit the following link to read a free sample. www.ajdugger.com

Yeah. They were right at the brink of world-wide fame but it was snatched away from them. It's a shame too because they were super talented. Thanks for commenting! I thought this thread was going to be dead on arrival. Here is a documentary I filmed about them last year to promote the book. Take a look! www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o9Zdr68hOY
