Looks like I'm outvoted here because I loved Bo's version of My Girl. He made it sound like a different song. GC had some great riffing and adlibs in his version, too. Making it sound like a different song? That's one reported reason Bo was terminated. Isn't it? Bo was good with Theo's leads and his own. But almost never anyone else's. He has very good vocal control. I wish I'd seen him sing "Forget About It" or "How Could He Hurt You?" live. That would've been 'Awsome'. And yall really believe that Bo was terminated just for some riffing and ad-libbing? If that's the case, a lot of David's leads were "f.....up" by Richard, GC, and Bruce that screams every song he attempts. A lot of fans just want to hear the song like it was sang on the original recordings, I know I do. Bo was ok, he just had that "Freddie Jackson" vibrato that irked a lot of posters here on this site also. I think that he and Otis just had too many issues, like Bo's passport being messed up and he had to get Ali-Ollie to sub for Bo not being to travel out of the country, which went against the group's profit margin. The being fired for "not singing the right note", claim by Otis was some bull. You mean to tell me it took five years for him to recognize when someone is not singing the right notes?

No, I don't think it's "just" the reason, as I wrote, "one reported reason", which means there is more than one reason. It's also not that he sang the wrong notes. Otis is more guilty of that than anyone. Bo went so far off the pattern that was already set for him to sing a song, I agree with an earlier post that it was almost like another song. Bruce is even worse. He needs to go. Not because he looks like a little chocolate Ralph Cramden (Honeymooners). But one reason is because he doesn't make the group better or even as good as it was before he arrived.
