I felt the same way about the movie. I knew it wasnt accurate but it is all we have to document the story of the Temptations. Where else are you gonna find the story of the Temptations. Plus I enjoyed the debates it started when you tried to infuse the truth where they took liberties to make it all add up for the storyline. Besides everyone isn't lucky enough to have all the videos of them on tv and the tv shows they did during their prime.

Well, the Temptations movie looked and felt like a Sunday night Disney or Nick movie. It looked like they filmed all the scenes in the order of the script (not usually done), because as the end of the movie came closer, they sped right through the last 10-15 years of it. It's as though they were running out of money to finish the film. Then, in an interview somewhere, I read that Otis said that the film was 90 something % accurate to the book. Maaaaan. They couldn't even get the lipsinc stuff right. I've said this before on this forum. Look at the scenes when they were singing 'Papa...' They can't even get the right people on the right parts. It's as though they were running off budget and they just had to keep what they'd already shot and just deal with it, as though real fans wouldn't notice. I've sang that song several times and I know.

Where can you find 5 tall talented guys in this music era thats committed to singing and dancing like the Temps and Ojays??aren't too many for Otis to choose from for replacments...It's all about RAP AND SAMPLING these days..Now there are a few crooners out there singing Love songs, but in a solo setting.. because it's hard to survive in this industry of ME-ism ...It's hard splitting money to a 5 man group, plus musicians, tour bus and handlers!!!Look at Theo, duke gave him the boot because he said he could no longer afford him..So maybe Otis can't afford all these "pretty boys" that some on this board is screaming for, maybe he's living within his means by having Bruce and Terry in the group!!!ECONOMICS..think about it, you and I do it everyday in our family household...I'd love to buy a Bentley but my wallet says Nissan Altima and it works for me...Just like this group of Temptations!!!!

If for some reason Bruce or Terry was to leave the group and Jermaine Jackson called Otis and asked to become a Temp, would you fans say Yea or Nea? would his voice ,dancing and looks be enough to regain some of the fan base that abandoned them because of the way Bruce and Terry looked and sound!!!Just askin???

I am one of the few on this site that has seen every cumulative form of the Tempts. It has been my opinion for as long as I have been fan that we want to compare the Classic 5 and HOF with contributors that have came in to filled the void left by those greats, and sadly time has a way of slipping upon all of us. 50 years says a lot to me and should certainly speak for itself. Let's enjoy when they come to an areana or venue near you and cherish the memories of Paul, David, Eddie, Melvin, Ali and Dennis as if they were still right there Getting Ready to Do The Things They could Only Do! TEMPTATIONS FOREVER.

TEMPTATIONS FOREVER. That's part of the reason we're so critical of current lineups. We cherish the memories of those greats. I've enjoyed every time they came out on stage. The last time I saw them was the 1st time I saw them in a casino and not an arena. It was also when I 1st got a glimpse of Bruce on stage with them. Still not very impressed with him though. By the way, why won't they get him suit jackets that can button in the front?

I just meant it is good to start conversation, debate and real Temptation fans can correct the mistakes and tell people the truth just like you just did. I aint mad that they made it is all I mean There is a section on heresomewhere where they disect the movie like it was up for an Oscar or something. It really doesnt matter. More than real fans saw the movie and wouldnt know all the things you do. And if you go to the concerts in some of these places like Vegas the people who go couldnt name two Temptations. They just know the songs.

Regarding the movie,it must have had something in it thats entertainig to a larger base other than Temps"fans,,because it's always on VH1 and now BET, and that cost ADVERTISING $$$$ and trust me if they didn't have viewers,it wouldn't be on..
