Thers are a lot of Genna and Tony Turner contributions to this book that really takes the reader to the dark side of David and EDDIE...personally I don't need to hear all this crap because I'm a TEMPTATIONS fan,and all I wanna hear is that sound that only they could make!!!Leave that "Schock Journalism" to the political world and leave my Temps alone... ' WELL SAID!

The reason for the departures of many of these guys is the same as it has always been from the sixties when David left, except Ricky didnt know the words to the songs in some concerts in Washington Dc and he was let go. Other than that it has been drugs, not showing up and money issues with Otis/Motown that led to their dismissal. I have heaed that they should have kept David or Dennis or this one or that one. Im glad that whatever decisons they made they stuck by them. Only Dennis got past that so called rule coming back multiple times.

Why did Dennis get so many chances??Was it pressure from the ladies to bring him back or maybe a threat from a majority of fans to boycott their concerts and album sales,or was it that Otis and Mel had a soft-spot in their hearts for him....what you think???

They were still trying to hold on to the last vestiges of greatness and only Dennis could give them that. But after a while it didnt make sense to keep bringing him back and him quitting. They were trying for some consistancy. We can look back now and laugh at that thought but they didnt know then what we know now!
