You can hear much of Melvin's hidden range in this song. He slides into a deep tenor at times, and then goes to baritone, and then down to the Bassment. You can tell he had a great ear. He goes up and down the scale on this track. This track is one of the few times I've heard him sing tenor.

This is one of my favorite Temptations songs. He had a much better voice than he was ever really allowed to use. He pushes his voice similarly on the follow-up album on a track called, "Easy To Love." Great stuff!
