they don't think they need God.
That's one thing I don't understand. I have this friend who doesn't even believe people have SOULS much less that there's some weird thing up in the sky that created all of us. So she thinks that when you die, you just die. That's it. The end. But I don't see why you would WHAT to believe that. I think it's more comforting knowing that one day, you'll get to see all your friends and family again. Yea Dbaby...I have faith in that too. It takes faith to even belive that there is a God and a heaven and hell

there is so much evidence in front of our faces that God exists- it is hilarious and sad at the same time as people try to explain away in twisted logic how the universe is billions of yrs old and darwin's theories and they have changed their tune a thousand times ,constantly correcting themselves in the process-
''ever learning and never coming to a knowledge of the truth''.

I taught Sunday school last week from 1 Timothy 6:3-12 and the theme was THE TRUE VALUES. Here Paul wrote to Timothy (his young disciple and son in the Lord) in regards to be aware of false doctrines and teachings that don't line up with teh teachings of JESUS. The lesson included persons who are proud and really know nothing and who at one time knew the truth but went astray. I also pointed out there are those who claim to know who GOD is but won't go to church services or even pick up a Bible. I went on to say "It's like this; how can someone tell you about about Martin Luther King, Jr. except that someone went to school and learned about him and studied on their own free time outside the classroom. The same applies to JESUS; how can you tell me you know about JESUS and his teachings if you don't assemble yourself (Hebrews 10:25) and study the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15)." I concluded with "watch and listen to those who deliver the word and see if it lines up with what GOD says." curet30 - www.greaterhwy.org

Gosh! I'm so upset that I'm just seeing this thread TODAY!! But anyhow, the tiltle of Sunday's message was "The Power Behind the Prophet". It centered around the ministries of Elisha and Elijah. Elijah was a such a powerful and anointed man of God that God didn't even allow him to succumb to death, but rather, he was swept up in chariots of fire! Wow, can you imagine that? And then he went on to discuss how dedicated Elisha was to Elijah, and how God blessed him with a double portion of Elijah's anointing. The main point is that Elisha didn't get caught up in Elijah himself, but instead recognized that the power was in the God that he served. He recieved Elijah's mantel and a double portion of Elijah's anointing. He didn't limit God. How many times have we put limits on God? Do we believe God when we ask? Do we even believe that we have faith as a grain of a mustard seed to speak to those mountains in our lives? Saints, our God is the God of the impossible, and if we just keep our eyes on Him and his promises and not focus on people, circumstances and situations that come to distract us, He will always show Himself true.
