I have made it a point by the way to see other Leon films....Cool Runnings I saw when I was really little on the Disney Channel, I watched it & remeber the commercials for it & what not but don't remember it at all....I just know the plot; I was to young to even care 'bout Leon; I was 6 at the time so give me a break there. Umm, I think my parents have BATS on tape somewhere so I can look for that. Soo gotta go rent/find The Five Heartbeats & Buffalo Soldiers & Little Richard. Among others of course but those are my main primary searches. There's a pic that one of ya'll have as a little icon were he's like making out with some chick....what movie is that cause I HAVE to see that??!!!!

OMG just saw/taped Cool Runnings....ya so with those ladies & you on admiring his behind all day long!!!!!!!!!! That movie is wonderful, I remember seeing the previews for it so clearly from when I was younger & I've somehow remembered the plot from then too but I don't recall seeing the film at all so I say tonight was my first time seeing it. Let me tell you my heart has NEVER swelled with more pride, I don't think I've ever been so proud of anyone, including myself; in my entire life!!!! Lol, I cried at the end. First cause I seriously thought Leon or one of the others were hurt....then proceded to cry with joy when they "won". Ok, thecnically they didn't but I say they won anyway; ya'll know what I mean =) I was so proud of them, no words to describe. Definately one of the best Disney movies I've ever seen & that's saying a lot cause I kid you not, I have practically EVERY Disney movie....I love Disney; what can say?! And the movie was soo funny!! Honestly I was cracking up through more then half of it, all the guys were hilarious but Doug E. Doug; man that boy has some comedy chops!! I had quite a scare tonight though. My TV Guide & even the TV Guide channel said Cool Runnings was on at 9 tonight on TBS, well 9 o-clock came around & Leon & his bobsleding team was no were to be seen on TBS. I cried, literally. Freinds was on instead(which I don't watch) so I was far from happy. Then I was really mad & like "No, damn TV Guide channel said it was on so it damn well better be on. Maybe it'll pop up at 9:30 or 10:00." So I waited & before the last commercial break of the Freinds episode that was on, popped up a little notice in the corner of the screen saying "You are now watching Friends; Next: Cool Runnings." Low & behold my instincts & hope were right on!! =D There was no words to describe my joy & anticipation....then came Leon stretching in those shorts & running in the sun; I needed a bib for my drooling, but then I just all out melted into a puddle so =) Do you know how much I woulda paid at that kissing booth?! Lol, anyways....what a GREAT night its been. =D

My criticism of Leon's performances in movies : The Five Heartbeats: I liked that his character JT was sort of subtle and how he eventually turned out to be a family guy in the end. Cool Runnings: Loved his Jamaican accent and his character was wayyy funny. Plus, nice shots of his butt, mon Waiting to Exhale: (Sigh- my mother's fav, movie with him in it), he WAS very sexy, but his character made all baby mommas dislike him, (looks aside of course ) Bats: Never seen it... The Temptations: Now, this is my favorite movie to see him in period. He showed his butt (figuratively and literaly) off, playing David Ruffin. Not many people can play a person very convincingly (Ex: Anyone seen the Micheal Jackson movie with Flex Alexander playing him???- Uh, uh) Anyways, he nailed it and the movie deserves an Oscar!!!! Little Richard: Wasn't my favorite, but like Kalisa, I watch it over and over again to laugh at him wearing bras and getting into the "Pancake 31" ;D Lovers and friends: Have not seen it yet, but I will soon so To Be continued..... As for "Norman Whitfield", I used to have a crush on him and yes, it seems that he appears in numerous "Black Films"

I like Cool Runnings too. Although Leon isn't my favorite in that movie. The guy with the braids and the lucky egg is my favorite. I wish the ending was different though, meaning the Jamican bobsled team won the olympics.

I like Cool Runnings too. Although Leon isn't my favorite in that movie. The guy with the braids and the lucky egg is my favorite. I wish the ending was different though, meaning the Jamican bobsled team won the olympics. The way they carried themselves with their problems and crash made them 'winners'... therein lay the story. And in fact... who remembers who actually won the gold that year? (besides the individuals and their country of course...LOL!)... but everybody who has seen "Cool Runnings" remembers the Jamaican team... not to mention those who saw/followed the Olympic Games where it actually happened. Hey, one reason I keep watching The Temptations even when it comes on TV is I secretly keep hoping that David won't die... will come back like Eddie King in "The Five Heartbeats", get religion or get clean or whatever, and have a new career. But... the truth is the truth. K2, thanks for your subtle way of telling me how to spell Jamaican ;D

Loved Cool Runnings soooo much!!!!!!!! There's quite a few catch phrases in there I intend to use now =) Again I ask ya'll, someone on this message board has Leon on top of some chick(his shirt undone) as an icon. What movie is that cause I HAVE to see it?!

..... Remember, the Five Heartbeats is pretty much based on the Tempts story, with some other groups thrown in, but basically the Tempts. So it is as essential to Temptationology as "The Temptations" movie as far as some of the basic elements. ..... hmmmmm... Tempts huh?? hmmmmm ya know..thats what I thought at first.. or i was questioning it was... but. I finally watched it to the VERY end..the credits... etc... a couple months ago.. and.. I think it might have been more about the Dells.. then the tempts.. but I used to think.. hmmm is this about the Tempts..... but ... noooooo... since some of the songs they are singing in The Five Heatbeats are Dells songswith Dells singing them... Im leaning more towards group history of the start of the Dells.. rather then the Tempts..... course.. no one has said one way or another who it was.. one way or another... soo I could be wrong...

Robert Townsend originally approached Otis with this movie but was turned down. Otis all ready had plans to do his own movie on the Temps. It was quickly arranged for the Dells to step in. It is not the story of the Dells. Anybody can see, Eddie Kane is David Ruffin.
