My favorite scene is when Eddie goes solo and is performing and David comes up, and Eddie asks if the audience would like to see them perform. And they sing Your My Everything to that lady in the front row, that gave me goosebumps because it was sooo smooth.

Hmm...... So many so many! I guess my favorite would be when they were singing Get Ready and David waltzed up in there extremely late and introduced them as David Ruffin and the Temptations and they danced off of I'm losing you. They all were so good looking there!!

Well I guess it would be the highschool doo-wopping. After careful consideration of course.

I guess to me for the best 'feel good' scene would be their audition at Motown. "Did you like it?" " ... No...... I LOVED it... Welcome to Motown"
But I also love the Sullivan Show, Eddie and David at that club singing "You're My Everything", and the ending "My Girl".

feel good scene would be when "Paul" and "Eddie" were in the car, and "Paul" says "Corn it aint about the money, or music thats who we are"
Thats always been my favorite

I think the very last scene when they do "My Girl" on the stage of the Fox Theatre. I like the beginning where Otis calls out "Al, Al" and you wonder what is going to happen, and then you see them on the stage in the famed purple suits singing and dancing "My Girl" and Otis is commenting about how talented they all were and that the very quality of their uniqueness would be what made everything so difficult. Together all five were magical. But the sadness is making people realize that their magic is created by all five together and not by individual talents.
Someone who worked with the Beatles made somewhat the same comment. No matter how talented each Beatle might have been, it was pure magic when all four were together. And that explains the Temptations too. As a worker at Motown commented, "When you heard them singing, it was like angels singing."
That last scene restates the magic of all five together. And at the same time it hints at the diffculty of making people realize what their true greatness is.
At the same time this week I saw a clip of Eddie and David singing at some charitable event. They were shown for a few seconds, along with many other singers, but all the other singers were identified by their names: Eddie Jones, Bruce, Bobby Womack, etc. David and Eddie were identified as "Temptation David Ruffin," "Temptation Eddie Kendricks" written across their chests on the screen. The world recognized their greatness only as Temptations.

Leon cracks me up when he says that.

The "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" performance. I don't know about you ladies, but I wouldn't want to be serenaded with that song.
