Someone said to me how wonderful it was that Ray Charles loved his family so much that he always made it plain to the "ladies on the road" that his family came first, and that he would never leave his wife.
I did not have the heart to disillusion her and tell her that he and his wife did get divorced. Besides that wasn't the message of the film. The purpose of the film was to show his music and what he accomplished musically. There are probably millions of young people who have little knowledge of what Ray Charles wrote and accomplished musically.
And so it was with THE TEMPTATIONS. Millions of new young fans were added to the Tempts' fan family because of the film. I think the film also added to the R&B fan audience.
And when WeakforWeeks told his his McDonald's experince hearing Fifty-Fifty Love, I realized there is a much wider audience for the present Temptations' music.

I was going to watch it again last night, but my faithfulness to American Idol took over.
