Here’s a question for you….in the movie when David says the sharks eating his own guts to Eddie, what does that mean?

I think it means, that people of his "kind" are more liable to eat their young, meaning do what ever they have to to get what they want or do what they want.
In other words, selfish beyond your imagination..Thats what I think it means
