Surely you are aware that unfortunately in this world there are not-so-decent attorneys who might take the opportunity to proffit from an elderly woman's trust.  sure...but she had to seek him out in the first place...so she had to feel there was something there bad enough for there to be something in it for her....and that's what I don't get... |

Why you didn't get a response is beyond me. Mamma Rose must have thought something was wrong. Or else she would not have filed a suit. Yes ,sometimes people take advantage of a situtation,I don't think this was the case. It just shows how many people were hurt by the book and movie. That's real ! Now ,you know that I'm not just saying it. This thread is the proof. |

Ivory, Some people who are stupid enough to believe a movie? I dont agree with that at all. I dont think of it that way. Alot of the temps fans now are because of this movie, especially the younger generation. I UNDERSTAND the movie from Otis point. If it were David or Melvin or even Paul, it would have been done the same way..In the sense that he would be telling his side also adding things to it to make it more interesting, whether it was true or not. Thats entertainment for you. As much as I cant stand Big O, he's only human guys, and I would have done the same thing, as far as adding to it for "TV" purposes. All these movies that are "Base on a true Story" The temps movie was one of em. Key word here, "based" which means anything that came out of Blu's mouth, Davids mouth, Dennis mouth, didnt have to be "true" at all. Yes i have resentment for some things as far as Dennis, Paul, Eddie, DAVID imparticular about the movie. But geez I got over it. Also in reality, THIS board has THE truest temps fans in the united states. (Estonia too) ;D I'm not sure how many people, but 3 or 4 hundred and some out of everyone in the states. Not alot guys. The temps dont fill up stadiums or anything. If I could go to every show I would, and so would you all. Your neighbor, some of your friends, family members, The old guy in the mall, or the woman at the grovery store, dont know these guys lives as well as we do. Consider yourself lucky to have as much knowledge as you do about these guys and live it. And those same people dont even know their names. Sorry guys..getting carried away...Holla |

No need to be sorry. I don't think that Mel,Paul,or any of the other members you mention would have made any of the others look bad. I don't think that they would have allowed the network to do it,either. That was not their nature. And in MY opinion, the only thing the movie violated was the intelligence of those who are dumb enough to believe everything they see on TV. Also what they read in books, magazines and even sometimes the news paper! |
