Whew... it's go to know that I'm not the only one who perfers to be a background singer. Personally, I think I sound MUCH better when I'm a background singer and I that's where I feel the most comfortable at doing what I love best (harmony). But I don't think I'm that good to ever be apart of a group though....... I'll just stick with choir!!
Glad your voice is okay... Lord knows I have battles with mine!!!!

Lol, now I ain't no perfessional singer(wish I was) & god I'd love to be a lead singer but I have this tiny problem called stage fright. I've been in choir since 8th grade. I was also in the musical in 8th grade(The Music Man). I was in choir freshman & sophomore year & my junior year I was in 2 choirs & next year I'm in two choir again. I plan on going as far in music as I can. =) I loose my voice atleast once a year though for atleast a week cause I get bronchitus every year(usually during winter).

I've done musicals too..... they are sooo much fun and I personally think that they are so much better than always standing there singing and clapping your hands (At least that's what my choir does) ;D. I've been in choir off and on since the 5th grade and I too plan to go as far as music and theatre will take me..... LOL DRL, I get those pesky cases when I lose my voice too... it's fun for me at first, but in the end it becomes a drag!!!!

Ya it does, try going a week at school, not being able to say a word to friends or teachers & being in two choirs....hard to do. I was our musical this past year as well(The Sound Of Music). I had soo much fun. Made some good friendships, definately one of the funnest experiences of my life, lol, if you only knew some of my classmates =D

OMG, a brilliant thought for this early in the morning if I do say so myself....The Temptations should be a musical, I'd make our school do it. Ya, obviously some language & David scenes would have to be cut(sadly, but do to drugs). Would be fun none the less.

I know what you mean.... It seems like those are the most times when you really wanna talk!!! I haven't been in musicals for a while, just did a play not to long ago though.... OMG, In my theatre class, we were assigned to write our own plays and oh, how was I tempted to do the "Tempting Temptations", but I probably would get accused of not doing an original play because to many people has seen The Temptations Movie. So I ended up writing a play about a family and put some references about the Temptations and okay, I a couple of lines from the movie in it. Well needless to say, my play was a success and the Tempts. refernces had something to do with it!!!!
