Hi T3. I can't answer as to why they used the name "Maxine" for Paul's wife in the movie. Good Rhonda Ross Kendrick is indeed the daughter of Diana Ross, by Berry Gordy. She is married to a jazz musician, Ross Kendrick...no relation (that I know of) to Eddie.

If it's any consolation, earthangel...they're only half-sisters biologically , though both were born during Diana's marriage to Robert (Silberstein) Ellis. Once you know Rhonda's relationship to Diana (and BG), its real easy to see the resemblances in the miniseries.

No problem Kalisa...interesting how a guy would marry a pregnant lady, that wasn't carrying his child! Dnice...well, it does happen frequently...whether the groom is always completely aware of the true paternity of the child in question is . And if one of the names on the new joint bank account is THE Diana Ross...did he much care? According to BG, HE (Berry) was not aware that Rhonda was his daughter until she was in her early teens. Don't ask me what was going on between the three of them...LOL! cuz I sure couldn't guess.

It's just so sad on how some people make sites of others that know nothing about that person then have a donation slot on the site but hey thanks again for the info and now I know.

Okay....... do y'all have the popcorn ready...... I shall begin. Once upon a time, there was this fair maiden who met a man.... and they fell in love too quickly to be wise. Then oops.... they created a fair tiny maiden. Before this little princess was even recognizable, the man left because he was afraid of that big, bad wolf called "financial ruin." 6 1/2 months later, the little princess was born, more beautiful than the fair maiden could have imagined. And, at the same time, the man met a different woman, pregnant with another man's baby. The man, feeling like a hero, married her and they lived happily ever after. This is what we storytellers label "irony." Peach
