I don't know if David actually snatched the mike from Dennis, but I've read in several publications that David stalked their shows, and at some point would leap on stage to take his place back, and finally, the Tempts hired extra security to keep him back. Also, from my perspective, the movie is cleary about the origins of the group----Classic Five -wise, not HOF6 or other replacements. Its too confusing to try to explain the comings and goings of each individual members..... I think that there were 19 at the time (1998) i.e. Does anyone know what Ricky Owens looks like or his whereabouts? Now it looks like 21 men have claim to the Tempts legacy. "pretty so there are going to be more ex-Temptations than Temptations. Ironic? Isn't it Y'all be good ;D

Seriously, I did a search using his full name on the social security death index, and he was there. He died in L.A. in the mid 90s, I believe.... but I couldn't find out much else about him.

Actually, didn't search on his full name really.... I put in his name "Richard Owens" and his DOB, which is April 24, 1939.... and this is what came up:

This is just the SSI Death Index....they don't put personal things in it. I've tried searching various news archives, but nothing comes up.... hard to search when I don't know his middle name. I suppose it could be a coincidence that *someone* named Richard Owens was born on the exact same day & year as Ricky Owens , but I don't think it's likely.
