I saw this at the Tempts4ever website and I was like that's so true... At the end of the movie, just before Blue died, Momma Rose asked what it was that killed Eddie...I mean, it was '95. It had been practically 3 years since he'd died. Why would she not know what killed him?

I always wondered that, too, jusme. That was just another way they did EJK wrong in the movie. His death didn't warrant anything more than a three-year-old question in passing, probably just because they couldn't sensationalize it (the way they could with David and Paul) and because he wasn't Otis' best friend (like Melvin).

I'm not sure how old Mama Rose was suppposed to be (75 or 80?) but I took that as she was kind of like my grandmother who even though she knew something would sometimes ask about it. Kind of like "Refresh my memory". After Melvin tells her that it was cancer she kind of nods her head and says "That's right" like oh, I remember know.

I think it would be hard to show his death. it would just seem odd. I thought it was done very well. I mean, like how would they really go about it? I was done in what seems to be a death sequence.

What about when they're in the dance studio and they are rehearsing for the Reunion Tour ........... they start to do "The circle" move from "Losing You" and "Richard" says, "somebody's gonna have to show this to the new guys 'cause I don't know thise one."
At that point, Richard had been in the group over 10 years, he wasn't "new" and he would have KNOWN how to do "the circle" :laughing

Maybe we should look at it from the standpoint of O's perspective as that is how the book/movie is presented. What was Eddie's relationship to and how did his death affect Otis (at the time of EJK's death)? Heck, David didn't rate a funeral either and from what I have read his would have made for some interesting viewing (bad choice of words, huh?). Although it is titled The Temptations, it's really O's story of O and the Temptations. If not each member would have had book/screen time equal to his contribution to the group? Which by the way I could dig as a Roots length miniseries giving the details of the lives of each Tempt from each guy's point of view. I WANT TO KNOW MORE!

Yeah, that would have had to happen, but that would have been kinda impossible because every member of the Classic 5 besides Otis was already dead, so O's story is really the only story that exists anymore

don't know if this was posted but...during the carjack scene with Melvin you see him in the car fighting the carjacker and also thrown out of the car...if you notice, the actor who potrays Melvin receives help from a body double in that scene...Melvin has a mini afro and the stunt double DOES NOT...look very closely when they are fighting back and forth in the car...I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me until I put the DVD in slow motion...it is so obvious...Melvin has the afro and the stunt double although dressed in character does not...the stunt double actually hits the ground and then you look up and see Melvin on the ground.

On the bus during the first tour, Blue is playing the guitar for some girl and like 20 seconds later David is kissing her. I'm like, they could have atleast changed her clothes. Angelica That is supposed to be Florence Ballard, right? Wasn't she O's girl too? She must have gotten around. I wonder if her family appreciated her being shown in that light in the movie? I know I wouldn't.

The surviving members had the perfect opportunity to confirm or deny O's story.
