Does anybody know when Eddie was diagnosed with cancer? I have read that he supposedly knew even before David died. Did David know about it?

Eddie was not diagnosed with cancer until November 1991. David died of a drug overdose on June 1, 1991. In November of 1991, Eddie was watching a football game with friends and coughed/spit up blood. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and had one lung removed in hopes of stopping the spread of the cancer. He died October 5, 1992. He was 52 years old. I understand lung cancer was one of the things he feared, but he never stopped smoking.

All the facts I quoted are "all over the place." Some of them I heard Eddie himself say in television (filmed) interviews. Some came from newspaper reports. Some came from his family and/or his friends. The simple facts I wrote above are available from countless resources. I did not add one poignant note, but I heard Eddie himself say in a filmed interview that he had thought he was "cured" when he had his lung removed.
