My goodness yall I watched a video on you tube with Bruce siging Treat Her Like A Lady. Im sorry, he aint it. In the miniseries Paul said that the name they would eventually come up with had to be something forbidden. Thats the whole point yall The Temptations were dashing, suave, smoooth sophisticated, stylish, they were larger than life (figuratively speaking). Bruce in no way shape form or fashion fits the expectation or meets the standard. Frankly speaking this whole lineup with exception of Joe is very very mediocre. It was pitiful looking at that guy move across the stage with visible belt lines showing through his jacket. This is just a bad bad move.

I agree. Bruce does not look very great compared to the slim and trim background he has to compete with. He definitely needs to do something about his figure. This said, however, I do not judge people for their figures. Being on a stage, though, especially with a group like the tall and tempting Tempts should still be tied to adhering to certain standards.
And if I may add another concern. PLEASE, dear Tempts fans, DO NOT post such lousy clips of any performance. It makes not only the poster look cheap but the performers too. In my opinion, such low-grade material does nothing to support the Temptations. It may be appropriate for amateur shows to be presented like this, but not for professionals. And, as far as I am informed, such recordings are not legal either.

i totally agree...i think bruce does his things with the tempts he's a bigger guy but there have been some big guys who still did there thang luther vandross, berry white to name a few not that i'm trying to compare Bruce to them vocally but there's enough musical love to share with everyone even the big folk!! ;D and besides bruce can sing...his voice is a different sound for the tempts and i think thats what they need, and always remember people are always afraid of whats different!!

The quality of that video is very bad. I saw them in person a few months ago and can assure you that Bruce sounds 100 times better than that. That terrible video does not do the group justice.

Oh don't misunderstand me I am not criticizing the mans size I am a big guy myself. But you have to wear clothing that becomes you and make a good stage presentation.

also last time i checked otis wasn't the slimest of guys either....bruce doesn't decided what he wears i believe one of the fellow group members picks out the outfits....i believe its ron but i'm not sure

And if you hear negative comments about your appearance, you may want to do do something to enhance your looks . There's a lot good clothes can do about a less than perfect body, but even the best clothes can't do magic. ;D |

well like was stated you have to wear clothes that gives you good stage presents so age wouldn't matter with size i know many people O's age that are thinner so age doesn't matter in the discussion.....and i have seen bruce perform and he looks fine to me whether he's a big guy or not got to remember some colors and styles of suits make you look bigger or smaller depending on the color so talk to the designer not Bruce about that one

Otis can stick a singer in Bruces spot at a drop of a hat. All the group does these days is rehash old songs. If I want to see the Temptations the best act is the TEMPTATIONS REVIEW FEATURING DENNIS EDWARDS. RIGHT NOW THAT'S THE REAL TEMPTATIONS. Otis' group will give a good show. Bruce is OK, but he can't touch David, Dennis or Ali  I play my old CD's.....THE TEMPTATIONS OF THE 60'S AND 70'S THAT'S THE GOOD STUFF. BACK TO FRONT CAME OUT......TEMPTS FAN HOPING FOR ANOTHER PHOENIX RISING......NOT QUITE, BETTER THAN THE LAST TWO CD'S |

i think it should be ali woodson and the temptations review because hate to say Dennis lost his voice..but i will take a David Sea and Ali woodson any day though..........i just got david sea's new solo album love makes the world go around and i love it!!

I have never liked Dennis Edwards' voice or the Review. Nor have I thought Bruce Williamson was right as a Temptation. Hey, this is show business, and he does not fit the image. When I saw them I thought Bruce added nothing to the show, but his lack sure made the other four look sensational. In fact, his habit of marching or jumping across the stage in front of them made him even seem separate, not a Tempt at all. And the other four danced and looked terrific.
All that being said, I have heard that Ali is no longer with the Review and has been replaced by Paul Williams Jr. Does anyone know about that?
