I'm still playing "Back to Front" from time to time, more than "Reflections"
What I've been doing is burning the best of the current Temptations onto 1 CD.
I'm curious is the thrill gone "Yes" or "NO"
The Doctor Temptation

"The Thrill" is not there any more. Not for me. The lead changes have been so many for so long that they lost their trademark sounds. They lost David's sweet soulful melodic sound. They lost Dennis's rough, scruff and funky sound. They lost Richard's melodic sound. They lost Ali's smooth but rough around the edges sound. They lost Theo's unique silky sound. Bruce is good but we have to get used to him. Never gonna give you up is about the only song that I really like on The Back To Front cd. But he sounds alot like Teddy Pendagrass and other singers.

I had my first chance to listen to it today and now I have a question. What thrill? There is absolutely no thrill to Back to Front. This Bruce guy......, please he aint happening. Honestly these guys sound like a doggone bar band doing popular tunes. They ought to be ashamed to sall themselves the Temptations. Good job Otis good job.

The thrill is completely gone they sound more like some group named Benny Barnes and the Barn Boys part time singers fulltime pigfarmers Ouch!!! ;D I know that was pretty harsh but in my honest opinion this crap is all Otis' doing. Listen I grew up loving The Temptations with every ounce of strength n me. When they were not doing so well (after A Song For You and until Power) I still bought every album every forty five every cassette I could get my hands on. All my friends were into everything else musically but I ALWAYS stuck by my Tempts and proudly played their records for my friends. Back then it didnt matter who the lineup was they were my guys. Honestly speaking Ron (mickey mouse singing ) Tyson was the very first Tempt I didn't like.( still dont) the next one I didnt like was Carlton Banks excuse me I meant Terry Weaks. Bruce I aint got figured out except to say unh unh. I think Otis is trying to pull one off hear with this Bruce guy, see thats either David Peaston on steriods or Steve Harvey doing a Ali Woodson impersonation. Fact is I dont like these guys and I have a heck of a hard time calling them The Temptations (except Joe hes cool) Otis I'm just plain mad at because we the loyal fans deserve a much better product than that. Not the album the group . Until then I will just call them what I consider a fitting name. This week it'll be Rufus Bigelow and The Rugcutters.

Guess I ll get it all out of my system soon enough. Wake Up Everybody, Back In Love Again, Love Ballad were 3 of my favorite songs of all time. Listening to Otis and The Embarrassments (except Joe)sing them was certainly a big dissappointment. I think they should have changed Wake Up Everybody to Wake Everybody Up.Ok ok ok, but imagine it with Theo starting it out and Ali bringing it home. Imagine Theo doing Love Ballad ......, Terry was truly weak on that one. I would have loved to have heard Ali or even GC do Back in Love. Just imagine Glenns precise texturing on Dont Ask My Neighbor. Heck imagine Eddies passion on it. Tell you what Ron if its up to me b4 I would get you to sing another song I will ask your neighbor. Ok ok ok. Its just such a shame that the only way to make the album good is to imagine.
