NOW..... what are your plans for the 4th? Well, I ran to Ol Navy last night and picked up a pair of those star-spangled flip-flops that I'd been wanting. I'm at home in Chattanooga right now. As soon as my pops wakes up (he and Mom are cuddled on the couch watching war movies) we're gonna go to Sonic and eat until we puke!!!! What a wonderful country!!!!! Thanks ((((((Mini-me)))))) for posting those guidelines. You know I'm no patriot, but I'm ALL about proper flag displaying if you're gonna do it. Drives me INSANE to see these people who put flags on their car window (which isn't even the proper place to put it) and they let it get all tattered and dirty. WHAT'S THE POINT?!!!!!!!

Things I love about America... The freedom to worship God the way I choose and a country that allows others the right to worship as they please. The dedication and bravery of those, past and present, who protect our freedom and serve our country in the Armed Forces. The beauty of the national monuments in Washington, DC and other places such as Philadelphia, New York City, Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, etc. The magnificent landscape of this country.... nothing more beautiful than the Colorado Rockies... The Grand Canyon... Grand Tetons.... the Redwoods.... Niagara Falls... The Mississippi Delta.... God shed his grace on thee. Great music... Jazz - from Dixieland to Big Band to BeBop... Classical... Latin... Pop... Rock and Roll... Bluegrass... Broadway... Rhythm and Blues....Hip Hop... Torch and Twang Country... The Motown Sound... and of course... The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on the Fourth of July.

My brother is pre-enlisted for the United States Marines Corp. He leaves for Boot Camo June 1, right after Graduation! Even though he's REALLY annoying at times, I know I'll miss him a ton! But yeah, yesterday was the last 4th of July I'll get to spend with him for 5 years. So we went and saw this fireworks show that was timed and set to music. It was REALLY moving. And because it was my brothers last one here for a while, we got a couple of those BIG boxes of fire works. None of the really cool kind because they're not allowed here, but still, we were setting off fireworks well past 1:00!

I have a HUGE respect for people in the Armed Forces. my brother's trying to get me to join but I don't think I could ever do something knowing that the result could be that I hurt or even kill somebody. But I'm going to join the Peace Corps after College I hope!
VERY NICE POST TDALLASW!

Yeah Sukka, Sonic is a national chain. They have a drive-in style operation. The waitresses often wear rollerscates, you know, the whole ................ oh.......... what was the name of that movie ............... with Ron Howard............ that inspired Happy Days.............. think, think, think. American Graffitti! Dbaby, that's very admirable that your brother is joining the Corps. in light of the present circumstances. Seems like just yesterday he was annoying you by watching Titanic all day long. ............... now even I'm getting a little misty. :crying:

A little late but they had a concert here and a talent show, put on by the Division Band(concert) they since we don't have fireworks(we have firearms) some F-14 flew over and shot out some flares....I wished they would have warned people because 85 percent of the compound thought we were being attacked...it was quite funny after it was over...
