YOU WILL BE PLEASENTLY SURPRISED WHEN YOU LISTEN TO THE NEW CD FROM THE TEMPTATIONS - "BACK TO FRONT" BRUCE WILLIAMSON DOES THE SONGS JUSTICE. HE HAS A NICE VOICE, BUT A LITTLE EDGY. WOULD I PUT HIM IN THE CLASS OF DAVID, DENNIS, ALI AND THEO......WELL THE VERDICT IS STILL OUT ON THAT ONE. THIS MAN IS FILLING SOME HUGE SHOES WHERE GREAT SINGERS MADE HISTORY. BRUCE DOES LOOK LIKE CASEY HAMPTON OF THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS.....BRUCE COULD BE HIS LITTLE BROTHER. BRUCE DOES HAVE A (NICE) VOICE. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. BACK TO FRONT IS BETTER THAN "REFLECTIONS" BECAUSE OF THE MUSICIANS: THE BENJAMIN WRIGHT ORCHESTRA - REAL MUSICIANS AND REAL INSTRUMENTS. THE SOUND IS DIFFERENT...IT IS NOT THE USUAL STUFF THE TEMPTATIONS HAVE BEEN COMING OUT WITH SINCE "PHOENIX RISING" RON TYSON STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND SINGS BEAUTIFULLY ON THREE CUTS "DON'T ASK MY NEIGHBOR" BEING MY FAVORITE. THIS CD HAS MORE UP-TEMPO SONGS AND THEY DO JAM. I REALLY LIKE THE PACKAGE...THE CD IS PACKAGE VERY NICE AND THERE IS A BOOKLET LIKE "PHOENIX RISING" SO IF YOU LIKE THE OLD SCHOOL SONGS REHASHED THIS ONE IS A WINNER. THIS CD IS ONE THAT YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF PLAYING A LOT. BRUCE REALLY GOT THE CD STARTED WITH NEVER, NEVER GONNA GIVE YA UP......HE REALLY DID BARRY WHITE'S SONG A LOT OF JUSTICE. THERE WAS ONLY ONE THING MISSING. WHY DON'T THEY LET JOE HERNDON DO SOME SINGING? OTHER THAN THAT THE CD IS KOOL ENJOY THE DOCTOR TEMPTATION

Doc, I agree
I must say that I really like this CD It has a clean sound and the boys sound good. Not like the Tempts of old, but they sound good!! The bonus cut is kickin, If You Love somebody Set Them Free, I love Minute By Minute, "Don't Ask My Neighbors" is done quite nicely, very nice touch, Ron does a good job. Bruce has a very mature sound and knows how to deliver a song. He does not have that southern soul sound, but he is quite good. Terry gives his usual great delivery (I love his voice). As much as I hate the fact that these songs are a rehash of R&B standards, they did a great job, much, much better than the last effort. BTW, purchase it from Circuit City it will be $9.99 with bonus track. Good price with extras

I can't wait to buy this CD. Bruce can sing and I love Terry's voice but I also wish that they would use Joe more. I am so happy this is better than that Reflections CD.

I picked the Temptations new CD up on Tuesday. The first time I put it on, I heard Barry White , I hear Teddy P, and a few other singers on this cd, and I asked myself where are the Temptations, is this what people are saying, that this is a group calling themselves the temptations? Well the second day of listening to this cd, I listen to the background and that where I heard the Temptations and they sound great. I think Ty did a great job with the songs he sang, even tho his voice has change, but he knows how to use it. Bruce is different, but he does a good job, I just hope he will be around to do another cd to hear more from him. Overall, I think I will enjoy this cd. Today I had my 3 year old grandson in the car with me, and I was playing "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up", he was very guiet during the ride, when the song ended, my grandson queitly said "Papa, play that song again. I smile, repeated the song and said to myself, Bruce ya did ok, and also, I got a young Temptation lover in my car.

I purchased the CD yesterday and I must say that I am loving it. Bruce does a good job and the boys sound good. My favorite songs are "Don't Ask My Neighbor", "Love Ballad", and "Minute By Minute". I really like the way Bruce does "Wake Up Everybody" also. Much better than the last effort.

This is their best album in years. The songs are great, and Bruce is a much better singer than I'd imagined. He really puts his stamp on these songs. Ron also shines throughout the album. The only negative thing i've noticed is the lack of Joe Herndon's voice. Other than that, this CD is excellent. It's definitley worth adding to your Temptation's collection.

I haven't heard the album yet... I'm not sure I'll be interested. I passed on Reflections hearing the clips. I think it's bad when the group seems to be striving to be an "oldies" group. They've given up on making hits, instead they do covers of other oldies just before heading to the old folks home.

Hello everybody
I could not help but jump in here. I used to post quit a bit some time ago under the name Tmoney. I lost my log in info so here I am as tman2429. Anyway, befor the album cam out I tried to listen to those 30 second clips out there. When I first heard Bruce on Napster, I thought Otis had lost his mind. Bruce sounded terrible I thought. Because I am a fan, I still bought the album. I had it since the first day. Man!!! First....This album is great. It is much better the Reflections and that boy Bruce can sang. He seems like he could take the boys to another level. Never going to give you up is a straight up jam. I love it!!!! The Res of the song are good also. For my tastes tho, I think Bruce could shave of a little of that edge that he sings with. Sometimes he takes it over the top. I like my Temps cool. I know that they are not the C5 but that cool sound/image still works for me. That what the C5 were. Extra Cool. Even when songs called for a little edge, the wore cool. Bruce seem to be a little wild for my taste. Somewhat like Bo. The difference is that Bruce does not try to do riffs every time he opens his mouth. I think Terry kinda whimped out on the mid part of Minute. Either he did not have the range to sing it in his natural voice or he just did not want to. I thimk maybe Bruce should have sang that part.. A couple of songs I did not like. Let it be me and Respect Yourself. Respect is the best out of those to. Ron Held his own but after having Glen, Damon, How did they come up with Ron. I can say that his strenth is that he know how to sing. He know the mechanics. His voice has just not been as good as the others. His naturel voice does not match with his falsetto and he can't go as low with it as the others. But again, he can sing. I hope this cd gives them some sort of boost and momentum.
talk to ya.
T.

i love the CD...Bruce Bruce i believe has just quited the critics after what he does on this CD...the song i'm feeling Most is Never gonna give up...and I'm in love Bruce just goes off on that one!! if we want to compare him to a former lead...i get reminded of Louis price when i here him sing personaly...Overall i think O made the right choice in the replacement, and i do think bruce can take them over that edge they just got to get a CD out there with some new temptations material!!! Bruce, Terry, Otis, Ron and Joe are the right mix i believe but from one Joe to another Joe they need to give the bass man some love!!!..............i can't wait to see this new and improved tempts line up in concert

Stilltempting21, you will really enjoy seeing this new line up in concert. I saw them three weeks ago and I had a ball. Bruce did a good job but like tman2429 said, he can loose some of the edge. I too like that cool sound they are known for. Aside from that, This combination is a good one.
