Is Ali still with the Temptations Review?

Hey ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Everybody))))))))))))))))))))! Shout outs to Everybody!! I have read posts from time to time, but I haven't logged in and post in a while.

I got a chance to see and hear ((((Ali))) sing live with the Temptations Review last Saturday on the 11th in Country Club Hills Illinois. I had the perfect third row center seat. I got a chance to hear Ali sing "Some Enchanted Evening" (I couldn't believe that I was sitting there hearing Ali sing it (the actual voice on the song) that I felt as though I was going to cry!! I also got a chance to see and hear him sing "Treat Her Like a Lady" and "Lady Soul". I have video footage of him singing "Enchanted" and "Treat", but nothing prepared me for hearing and seeing him live! Wow! He even lead on "Stay"! I was so blown away by his performance that on Sunday I went to Amazon.com and finally ordered his solo cd, and I received it yesterday. I haven't listened to the whole cd, and I'm Enjoying what I've heard so far. Now I want to buy all the Temptations albums that Ali was on!! LOL!

Friday at work I was looking at the "Chicago Suntimes Weekender, and they had an advertisement of the Tempts Revew doing a free performance at the Resort Casino East Chicago, IN in the Pavilion. Since it's so close, I called and asked my sister if she wanted to go, so me, my sister, and my cousin went. We got there early and were able to stand right in front of the stage, and Ali wasn't there. They had a young guy in his place. I was so disappointed.

I was wondering if Ali is still with the Temptations Review and just was unable to perform last night. I hope he is still with them. I would Love to get a chance to hear him sing live again. I was able to find a DVD live concert of the Temptations' Review with Ali at FYE. It's also availalbe for ordering in DVD and cd form on the Temptations' Review my space page. TTYAL!

Just got back from tonights Temptations Review Show Sunday August 19th and wanted to let everybody know Ali was back on stage singing his songs. The group also suprised everybody during their 90 minute performance by doing Old Man River!!!!

Yeah I saw him perform all the songs you mentioned except for Stay, they performed in Brooklyn, earlier this year at Brooklyn College, what a great perfromance. You're referring to the Stay that Otis' group sang in 1998 right, and if so, did Dennis and David Sea take turns with Ali on Stay.

Tempfan, I'm so Glad that (((Ali))) is still with the ((((((Temptations Review)))). I'm looking forward to seeing him perform live again. One of my co-worker's brothers went to the full East Ind. concert, and they said that ((((Dennis))) said that because of the weather, Ali was unable to get a flight. The young guy with them was ((((Paul Williams))))'s son. My co-worker's brothers said that he looked and sounded like Paul. They also said the show was 90 minutes.

I Love that the Review sings songs we don't regularly hear. At my Country Club Hills concert they sang "You're My Everything". This is my third time seeing the Review perform, and at one concert they sang "You'll Lose A Precious Love" with ((((David Sea))) on lead.

They also sang "Ol Man River" in Country Club Hills. I didn't time the show, but they really give you a show for your money. I Love that they do the original move at the end of "Get Ready", and I Love that they do the Classic Five's original stance at the end of songs.

Smooth, Ali did the lead and Chris sang that end part with him. TTYAL!

Ali still prefers to be a soloist. At times he sings with the Review, after all, a buck is a buck, but when he has a chance to be a soloist, he does that. There have been many times when he did not perform with the Review.

I think we forget that some people prefer singing solo and will only stay within a group for a short period of time. G.C.'s stay with the Tempts is the longest time he has stayed with any group.

For years Paul's sister has said her brother sounded like her father, but I've never heard of him doing much performing, other than locally in Detroit.

There's going to be a program honoring Berry Gordy and David Ruffin Jr. will be there.
