as my dad is still in the hospital since feb 3rd (4months and 12 days) i am grateful to Heavenly Father that dad's still hanging in there, and he made a little progress today. my friend and loan processor theresa lost her father recently so i feel the pain of someone close to you not being with you on this special day. happiest father's day to all the folks who are fathers, and also to all those who have their fathers still with them. i hope they have a blessed day!

H*A*P*P*Y D*A*D*'S D*A*Y To all the DAD'S on the board... Btw, It should be called Dad's day, Any male can be a father..but not everyone can be "DAD"... It takes a special person to own up and take responsibility for the well being and lifelong nurturing of a child. In my book, that's a DAD.

Happy Father's Day to all of our deserving fathers on the board, and to everyone's father. Here's celebrating fatherhood, it's a beautiful thing, I reckon. Thanks for the hand you have in rearing functional adults.

well, i hope it works out for you cadeho! here's what happened to me on father's day- we got to talk to my dad in the hospital back east- he sounds much better! i got to see conti and the kids at church sing to their daddies. they were so cute! i got for being a dad and a granddad i got to receive 2 big chocolate chip cookies the size of rhode island from the church- they handed it out to the dads- the cookies were made by our friend's shop - the dessert factory! stevie got me a gift certificate to a local restaurant and i'll go to lunch with him. cheski gave me hugs and kisses and i got to play a word search contest with her, then we did 3 rounds of MANCALA, then she's taking me to the movies next week! elise got me some pajama bottoms that had hot orange fires all over them! she and cheski also cooked a shrimp stir fry dinner with onions and peppers, and we had fresh ORGANIC strawberries and a salad. now the topper- little 6 yr old constance - made me 2 cards for father's day - with love and kisses and her little name in her own handwriting- plus she made a jar with some decorations filled with chocolate hershey kisses- i was able to have one- and she gave me lots of hugs and kisses sweeter than hershey could ever design. then james, rocio , and the grandkids called and sang happy father's day to me and it was icing on the cake! that's a special day to me! NOW WHAT DID YOU DO FOR YOUR DADS?

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies! I was my Father's Day gift to mine who hasn't seen me in... who knows... but he wants to be in my life. My minister's sermon today was titled, "Who's Your Daddy?". Cadeho - he talked about all the great fathers... as well as the not so great ones. Those who are a blessing to their children... and those that chose not be even be a part of their children's lives. The whole focus, or main point he was making was that God chose to adopt each of us as His children - if we will just honor and serve only Him. Whether or not we have good fathers, we can be happy in knowing that God loves us and we don't have to earn His love - for it is given to us through His grace. That "Fathers' Day" message really got through today.

I never knew who my father was and to this day still do not but I made a promise to myself as a kid that if I ever had children that would not be one of their problems. So for me being a father or Dad is monumental and I thank those of you who recognize how imprtant it is. Thank you for your warm thoughts and greetings! And happy father's day to all of the other Dads out there!

ABA-the way you appreciate your family and the way you invest so much time into your daughter and other children gives you my vote as father of the year if not father of the board!

I know I'm like, two days late w/this post, but WOW! Happy Belated Father's Day, if there is such a thing!
Sukkafu, what a sweet Father's Day you had! I brings me such joy to read about men enjoying their children and grandchildren, inspite of.
Cadeho, that was a beautiful thing for you to do for your dad. Wow. God honors that.
Tdallasw, my pastor preached a very inspirational Father's Day message also. I too had been struggling with issues concerning my father and God gave me a peace right before Father's Day. Although dad may have messed up somewhere down the line, my Heavenly Father let me know that everything will still be alright.
