Here's a pretty neat question, Where were you when you first heard a Temptation song? What was that song, and what kind of memories does it bring back for you?? I was a little girl and me and my mommy and daddy would sit aroung the Christmas tree and listen to Silent Night and watch Night Court. Those were the good old days. That was the first time I heard a song and could recognize that those were the Temptations. I also remember my momma and daddy singing Ain't too Proud to Beg running around the house in 90 degree weather when our air conditoner broke. That was some funny stuff!! I think music can put you back in a place or take you to a place where you would never imagine. It will be interesting to see what the members who have actually met Tempts or been to live concerts have to say about their first memories with Tempts and where it has taken them since then. :inlove:

First Tempts song I ever heard had to be My Girl. I can't even remember when or where I learned it, but it's like little nursery rhymes, you just pick it up from somewhere.
I had also heard "Since I lost my Baby" at some point and time, but I didn't know it was by the Tempts until I bought my first Tempts CD. I didn't recognize the title on the back of the cD cover, but then it came on and I was thinkin, "hey, I know this!" and started singing along

The earliest memory I have is the commercials for the "T&T" album set in the 1980s. So when I sat down to watch the movie, I knew what songs the two groups COLLECTIVELY sang, but I didn't know who sang what. So my old joke is I sat there for the whole movie waiting for the "Tempts" to sing "Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch."
I just recently purchased that album set off of eBay, so that was nice.

i remember when the cavemen chiseled a picture of 5 cavemen in a row with matching saber toothed tiger suits and 5 matching clubs-that's when i first heard of them. they were singing uma guma zumma balumma-which is cave talk meaning- they ain't goin to see you otis! the 5 cavemen were dragging their women by their hair as they went on tour from cave to cave. they changed from saber toothed suits to woolly mammoth suits to giant sloth suits. that spawned the arrival of the first caveman dry cleaning service. one caveman was kinda blu, the other was quite ruff, another was smelling the joint up so he was poopie, another was corny, and the other was always kinda dumb so they called him o.
one day one of the cavemen dragged the other caveman's girl by the hair. this was the first incident of cheating.
another skinny caveman would write songs by smoke signal from a cave fire- he was called smokey.
another caveman would help these 5 guys by telling the rest of the neanderthal world about these cavemen in their hairy suits- his name was berry picking and his big cave company was called mountain- the company stank reallly bad which was okay with poopie so they called it sh#tsville usa(u smell awful)
the guys banging their clubs in rhythm to the cavemen beat were called the grunt brothers.
berry had a female that he pulled her hair and she sang with the cavemen - i'm gonna make you club me. this was written by holland tunnell, dozed off and holland dutch boy paints.
