I hope I don't contradict myself when I say this, because I previously said that I hate it when people take pics off my website and use them, but I hate it when you go to a website and see a picture you want (for personal use, not to put on a website) and you can't save it. I can usually save pictures that are disabled, because I know a trick, but there was a picture I saw on a website today that I wanted FOR MY PERSONAL USE and when I clicked to save the picture, the window closed. Now, since I have Windows XP, a little "save" button usually comes up when I brush my mouse over a picture, but with this one, it didn't do it.
That's my net annoyance of the day.

There is a way to do it, but since you don't like people to swipe your photos, I won't post it here unless you want me to. Finding ways to "steal" photos is a favorite pasttime of a friend of mine.

Some folks act like saving pictures they put up on the net is akin to stealing the crown jewels or a valuable asset of some sort. And I REALLY hate those snotty messages they have pop up when you right-click on their photos (which only make me more determined to somehow grab that pic for my own .

9 times out of 10 (ok,maybe its 7 out of 10), the pictures they post up were swiped from somebody else's site anyways

If they think they have some priceless prize, don't post it out there!! Otherwise, share nice, I say .

Post it, girl! I don't mind when people take my photos for personal use, only when they take a rare picture and use it on their website. I have nothing against taking pics for personal use because I do it myself. temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif

The best way I know is to go up under "view" in your browswer and select "source" or "view source code." Then the fun begins, you have to hunt for it. As I'm sure most people know, most images on the net are gonna have a file extention of .gif or .jpg.

Now you may get lucky and see the WHOLE file name. You can then copy and paste the URL for image into your address window and that should display the image (assuming it's not hosted by something like Angelfire or something like that.) A lot of times though you may just see the file name itself and you have to kind of reconstruct the root directory. For example, you may see a file name called /photo1.gif .......... let's say you were at the TemptsInfo main site and you saw that, well, you can look up at the address that's currently in the address bar and it might be something like temptsinfo.com then what you would do is stick the file name /photo1.gif to the currect address to come up with temptsinfo.com/photo1.gig

Does that make sense? Like I said, finding the photo in the source code is the hardest part. Sometimes the file will have an easy to figure out name like david.jpg or it may have something hard like 19663.jpg but just keep using the above method until you get it.
