deeevaaa- i was wearing an elvis suit - i was playing the part of conrad birdie in bye bye birdie- he was a take off of elvis going into the army. so thus the silver jumpsuit.
ivorrreeee- yes, that old 70's custom of making lamps out of wine bottles. also notice the 70's color scheme- orange/pumpkin/brown/yellow- nowhere to be found in today's world!

It's a little known fact that I once worked in the aviation industry............ My job was to go get the planes when they landed. This is from about 1980 and no, we weren't flying them there, I think we were just posing after church. I think I'd made that heart in Sunday School and I was holding it up to show that I loved my daddy! My mother probably took the photo because she loved how "smooth" she'd made my hair. That was always cause for pulling out the camera. Needless to say, there's enough photos of me holding airplanes to fill five albums. I think the idea was that my dad had all of these Remote Control Modeler magazines and they always featured some model holding a plane, like a hot rod magazine. I was the junior version. You can tell I inherited his poor vision. I had a boat named after me once. ................ It was 3 feet long.

This is my extended family. We're moving my home congregation from one building to a new one across town and subsequently changing the name. Tonight one of the oldest churches in Chattanooga passed into history. This is a photo of some of us after church and before we walked arcoss the street to get ice cream. I'm poking my head out behind the older lady in the white shirt. Me and a couple of my cousins.

Darn that Sharemation and its high faltootin' ways!!! ;D Now, you all know how it is, if you can't see it now, come back in 10 minutes. Looks like everyone's happy,Yeah, we were happy, cause we were goin' to get ice cream!!! (ha ha) No, seriously, we were happy but sad too. That old building has a lot of memories in it. For me especially since we'd been there 17 years. Since I'm a PK and we moved around a lot, that was the longest I'd ever been in one church building. But the new building has one of those chairs attached to the stair case that you can ride on if you can't climb stairs easily, so I've already had a lot of fun playing on that! It's like a roller coaster that goes REALLY slooooooow. Whoohooo!!!
