what do you get when you mix 61,707 fans in qualcomm stadium, with barry bonds,GIANTS VS. PADRES, a tribute to the troops, a 200 foot flag on the field, a moment of silence, take me out to the ballgame, God bless america, star spangled banner, fireworks, 82 degrees, palm trees, 3 home runs, hot dogs, barbecued beef and chicken,, tailgate parties, drinks, music, ice cream, lemonade,7th inning stretch.... OPENING DAY!  |

It's so so. People always talk about Atlanta fans and their lack of support outside the Falcons of course (new world order ;D) what do you expect when the Braves go 11 straight trips he the postseason, but come out with only 1 WS championship!!  I'll still keep up with the stats, but the game goes along so slow. I hope Griff can produce like he did in Seattle and at least get 500+ HR's before he retires. Andruw Jones is my boy!! BTW I'm in GA ,but not in Atl! |

ivory-watch out -a foul ball might hit you ! i went tonight -barry bonds hit one 463 feet to dead center field-bounced once and hit the score board! this was at night ! it would have been 500 feet in the hot sun! i saw 4 more home runs, 2 doubles, and had a great time! baseball isn't a sport? we had 50,400 people tonight- 112,000 in 2 days! i guess nobody cares!  oh, by the way, they did a tribute for the 35th anniversary of the padres by doing a decade by decade look at the team- they started with the 60's as the padres began in 1969- and of course they played GET READY by the tempts on the p.a. system ! |

jeter will sorely be missed. the mri will reveal what approximate recovery time will be necessary. i am a huge fan of jetes. he's got 4 world series rings in 7 yrs and is under 27 yrs old!

braves had a 7 run inning last night and won 10-7. but they made florida mad by doing that so maddux lost 17-1 tonight!!!!
i went to the padres versus the dodgers tonight. the padres won 3-0. we have won 3 straight versus the dodgers. we beat hideo nomo, the ace of the l.a. team.
griffey should change his name to iffy because it 's so uncertain what his status is.
