I posted those articles to show examples of what's going on out there, not that I am willing to pack up and move or agree with everything said by Russia or other countries. I have come to my own assessments and not willing to believe everything our government tells us. If Bush showed us a laundry list of countries he accuses as threats to us, will we tell him go right ahead? I am certainly not anti-American, but I am anti-dumb American actions that will come back to haunt us. I wish people would stop thinking for the moment and think about how our actions will affect us and the rest of the world. If this solves all the problems in the Middle East and no one will ever plot to attack us again, then I'll say Bush and we were right for this war. People seem to be secure this will and end all cure.
No way do I hate the US, but is it wrong for me to think some fine-tuning may be needed? I don't hate Richmond, but the things city council does I find downright moronic and there are things that could be done better than it is. That does not make me anti-Richmond. Because the mayor said so is not a reason for all to go along, but there is usually nothing you can do but surrender to the will of others if you do not have power to go against it.
I love my home, don't get me wrong, I still love you. I have said a few posts back I am still proud to be American, but the case hasn't been proven enough for me to think this war is a necessary action at this moment.
Isolationism of America would guarantee our last days as a super power. That is a selfish act we can't afford to make. Not only would hatred increase more than is exists now, but all our allies would turn against us. Even if they need us for their economies, they'd probably think it's worth the self-inflicted wound just to deflate our ego. I feel this strike is a self-inflicted wound towards our security and position in the world. In the beginning, Britain didn't believe the US could survive without them. We proved them wrong. It is unknown if the rest of the world would try making that same statement.
If I didn't love our country, I would not be so anxious about our future and how our actions determine it. Why should we evermore be on the defense? This will lead to paranoia against many countries who may not even be a threat. After we're done with Iraq, should we bomb Saudi Arabia because most of the 9/11 highjackers came from that country and there is an anti-American sentiment there? Are they a threat?
I want to sigh relief and just get it over and hope it's as tidy as can be. There is nothing left to do now. It's not even worth the debate. When we go in, I'd find it fitting if we play Outkast's song "B.O.B (Bombs over Baghdad)."

In a repeat of history, his popularity level may go own afterward. The nation was split down the middle until the ultimatum, even though something like 62% had wanted a UN vote. Since that was abandoned, I think people just fell in line. We're at war again, so since we support out troops, it's a duty to support the Commander and Chief, even if we don't like him personally and question his motives...
Peach it's ok. I do not think we're evil. I think we have egos and don't think of consequences. We're kind of like teens.
Here we go...

Thanks, back at you. I think our freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution are secure and will live forever. However, our safety is different.
