Y'all, I guess I took in too much of that Maury Povich episode all those years ago. That and the episode of Touched By An Angel were the only things I ever saw about it.

for my dear brother ABA i wish his nets to go all the way. i'd prefer to see dallas play the nets- jason kidd versus his old team.
whoever- kidd, martin, dikembe, kittles, and company have a tough fight in the pistons- wallace, hamilton, billups and robinson and barry.

Wow. Alot has gone on in here. Well, I think yall know what side I take, but I'm not gonna relight this flame For the past 2 days I have had no means of technology to the outside world. No phone, no internet, no Tv, I'm just finding out fropm Sukka's post that the kIng's lost. Normally I would , but this year I was ready for it Go Spurs! (Even though its only because Mavs beat the Kings). Naw, honestly I dont care who wins. Mavs are a good team. Just dont let it be the nets (sorry aba ). The best are in the West!

the west has been dominating since the bulls disbanded after 1998. it's been 4 straight yrs of the west. the east has a better shot this yr than last, but i still think spurs are going to win it. mavs play fun basketball, though.

the dictionary defines maverick as unorthodox, independent minded, not a follower of the normal rules and regulations.
that describes the dallas mavericks and their try anything coach don nelson, as the mavs made a record 49 straight free throws to overcome a 14 point deficit and defeat the san antonio spurs-113-110 in dramatic fashion. dallas has wrested the home court advantage away from the spurs as the all texas series went to the fast paced mavs, who missed their first free throw and then made 49 straight.
tim duncan led all scorers with 40 points and 15 rebounds, but missed 2 crucial free throws at the end of the game to seal dallas' victory. the spurs missed 17 of their 48 free throws. the mavs made 49 of 50!
the refs called 72 fouls -36 for each team.
game 2 is wednesday night.
AS ABA SAYS - YOU GOTS TA MAKE YOUR FREE THROWS TO WIN!

He missed three that I saw, after two shooting fouls in a row, at the beginning of the game. My ma even commented that they would start doing the Hack-A-Tim.
GET BACK IN THE GYM and PRACTICE!

ABA the NETS RULE!!!!!! I hope the Spurs get it together and win the series. I am not a Mavericks fan they are soooooo boring. If the Pistons and Mavericks make it to the finals I bet it will be the least watched series in history.

Mike's BASKETBALL post has been ruined and since I am party to it I'm going to have to suggest that it end now. My mother said we should get back to talking about the Tempts since that's why we're here. And I think a 45-year-old trying to argue down an 18-year-old (and vice versa) is kinda strange. That's just my opinion. Continue to rail at me if you wish. IRLM,you could never ruin ANYTHING for me! I admire you for saying what you feel at any age! Big up's to you. My team fell short of their desires, but they remember life holds one guarntee, they will always have me...as their fan! LAKERS got taken out,and the Mavericks, left the Spurs upset last night! All Good!

No that would be across the board. Detroit nor Dallas equate to large money making markets for basketball. Neither team has the MVP or well known superstar on their team. :sleepy:
ABA is the Spurs the first former ABA team to win a title a NBA title?

you are correct kim!
however, i fail to see how run and gun, fast breaking, high scoring, 3 pt shooting dallas is boring- then what do you call 76-74 games? i find that really boring!
dallas is a bigger tv market than san antonio is - nj vs dallas would be a ratings plus. detroit vs. san antonio would be the ho hum deal for media nuts. i like any combo because it's nba.

ABA is the Spurs the first former ABA team to win a title a NBA title? The only team to win it all is the Spurs. If the Nets win they will be the only team to win in both leagues.

Suk....as I said during the season it's not who runs the fastest but who runs the longest and of the Sixers(mike) and the Lakers(Sukafu) only my Nets are still standing like I said they would be at the end. No brag, just fact! I don't care what the score is as long as I can put it in the left hand side of the list for another win! ;D ;D Bore me to death but give me the ring!!!! ;D I never saw a boring championship ring in my life!!! ;D
Wow Mike, I haddn't thought of that!!!! That's right! You go nets!
