hey sukkafus out there across de land of temptations,

does anybody know (besides christmas albums of course)

whether or not there's any recordings of gospel songs or hymns by the tempts?

i can just hear david's voice singing AMAZING GRACE
and me crying, or DENNIS singing HOW GREAT THOU ART
:'(P.S. wouldn't it be cool to hear a rendition by the tempts of the AFRICAN AMERICAN ANTHEM- LIFT EVERY VOICE AND SING?

Paul very definately sang "The Lord's Prayer" and that song is on an album called "Motown Comes Home," which is a collection of various Motown artists singing gospel. I'm just not clear as to whether any of the other Temtps are singing on that song. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I think it's more of a choir backing him up.

Also, I would consider their song, "Broken Pieces" to be a religous song.

I listen to "Broken Pieces" all the time and have thought "wouldn't it be great for the Tempts to do an album of Gospel and other inspirational songs."?  As popular as Gospel music is today it would be a great project for them to put together.

it would be a very well received album if the tempts put out  a james cleveland /andre crouch  type of
hit 'em down in the soul type gospel album. 8)
