this past weekend folks my 15 yr old girl and her best friend were in the car singing with my girl and the way you do the things you do. they love the tempts! 8)
she also had a party with 8 girlfriends and they all sang my girl in the house !even more freaky is my 5 yr old girl is the biggest tempts fan in the family- she thinks david ruffin is her friend singing to her!  she picks out david's voice on the songs everytime. she loves cloud nine, imagination,my girl, things you do, get ready, aint too proud, papa was a , -she not only knows every tempts classic song, she does the moves from the mini series! LOL! she's so cute.
my wife is from spanish harlem and she grew up with the tempts-she impressed us with knowing in the car the other day all the words to ball of confusion although her favorite is imagination.
my 28 yr old son likes them,my 22 yr old daughter doesn't mind them, but my 17 yr old son likes only hip hop and rap. he thinks my music is old! poo!

not everything new is bad or gross, but at least with the motown sound YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HECK THEY'RE SINGING!!!!!!!

LOL! Well, you can understand what they're saying in hip hop, it just takes some practice.  

As for your 17 year old, does he not realize where hip-hop gets all of its samples from? If I were you I'd help him figure it out! What about that Marvin Gaye remake that was done a few months ago?

i love the kid but he's the rebellious wannabe that loves to call us old scholl on everything. he knows it all.

which he'll be amazed in 4 or 5 years how much we've learned by then! ;D
