friday may 17th is sukkafu's 44th birthday and my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. i wish all of you folks out there in temptville also a happy birthday. what i want is for all you folks to let me know what you would wish for on your birthday that would be related to the tempts. i wish for my birthday that i could not only see otis, dennis, richard, and damon together again with ali and theo, but that after the show i could have dinner with them and let them talk about old times.... i would like them to sing a song that they haven't sung in years like since i lost my baby! 8) SO...WHAT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY WISH FROM THE TEMPTS?

Ooh, I don't know that I'd want to have dinner with them. I'd be afraid a food fight would break out. My wish would be that the Tempts would come to perform a private concert for me and my Tempts friends of my favorite songs and that they'd come bearing cake. .......... and pizza. ;D

a southern girl that hates cornbread is like a chinese girl that hates chow mein- it just ain't natural-LOL! hey ive, last night i watched 'the jacksons an american dream' and it was so fun to see them sing "my girl" and "since i lost my baby" and then joe jackson tells michael to watch that "ruffin ' character and how he does it. it was fun to watch motown 25 the night before . i loved the tempts/tops sing off. i rented both videos from my library for 50 cents (no, that's not a 50 cent fine for being late ,al LOL) each and i get them for a week! earlier in the evening, i was at the san diego padres baseball game and the team was losing 1-0. then the stadium played "get ready " and the fans started rockin' and the padres went one to win 2-1! see, the tempts are winners even off the stage! ;D

Hey sukkafu...if you're watching Motown 25, you HAVE to watch the ending (when Diana floats in) with the book "Call her Miss Ross" by Randy Tavernetti (I may have that name wrong :-P) in hand...so you can see what ISN'T there i.e. the catfights between Mary Wilson and Diana. Randy gives a much more accurate description than Mary does in HER book...her's doesn't match quite with the video as seen, but with "Miss Ross" you can actually see where the cuts were made.
I know, I'm way too easily amused ;D

thank you very much! i appreciate the juicy tidbit about the divine miss ross! i especially appreciate the warm birthday greeting!
last night i finished the "jacksons an american dream" video and it was fun. produced by suzanne de passe- she also did the tempts video- i liked it lots less than the tempts because the tempts actors really sang. the kids danced pretty good though ,but the kid playing michael grown up was way too thick for michael- they should've starved him for a week, gave him oxygen, then a couple of nose jobs, and then he might've looked more like michael. billy dee williams, angela bassett and lawrence hilton jacobs did a great job, however. billy dee was too tall for berry gordy. it's funny how diana ross was portrayed in both movies- in jacksons she was thin enough, but her nose was too thin- in the tempts the actress was too short and chunky for diana -although she looked better than miss ross! ;D
