well you know us temps junkies... we can't get enough versions of cloud nine or my girl!!!!  i wish there was a soundtrack from the miniseries that was inclusive of the songs the boys DIDN'T lipsync,like 'i'm losing you','get ready'.beauty's only skin deep,shout, a love i can see, paradise,psychedelic shack,can't get next to you, etc. they did a great cover job and their choreography was worthy of the Temps. ;D remember motown's 25th show on nbc? they should do a motown's 45th for 2003 and have temps,tops, smokey, diana, and michael of course.... 8) |

Yeah, a soundtrack with the actors' vocals would have been great. I actually made one of my own by hooking my stereo up to the TV and recording it that way. I did convert ONE song from that, Smokey's "Really Gonna Miss You," to mp3 and it should be available on www.audiogalaxy.com If you don't have it already, you might find it there. |

is really gonna miss you the theme for saying goodbye to imusic?  remember from the miniseries the temps were singing on new years at the motown party? i wonder if they really did that and if berry gordy ever recorded any of those gigs? that would be priceless!  |

LOL! Well, I think the only place you can find the TAPE is on places like eBay and other second hand stores/sites. If you have a DVD player, the DVD version is the whole thing (Minus Smokey's closing song at the end of the first night, closing credits I mean, and the interview with O.)

hey ivory beauty-i begs ta diffah! de e bay rasta man he say dat de dvd version be 2.5 hrs-not fo' like de mini series. what de dvd offah be extra intahvuze and stuff but not de missing link oh de miniseries. i remembah wenn de miniseries had de part where eddie be singun' in de nightclub and david be invited on de stage wit 'em. but de moovee don't habit atall!! de bat fly in me face!  |

LOL! Well sukka, Rasta Ivory  has both the two-tape full length movie that she purchased the day after the movie aired AND the DVD and they are the same. (except for the two things I mentioned) Could there be two different DVD's floating around? |

ivory i believe you 100%! if that is the case then why does ebay,half.com,amazon, all have the dvd and vhs editions listed at 150 minutes? i remember distinctly several scenes in the tv miniseries that are left out of my 150 minute VHS version. there's a scene where Eddie calls Paul "POOPIE" which is the only time he uses the nickname. there's the other scene i mentioned in another post where eddie is singing and he brings david ruffin on stage with him.BOTH those scenes are missing from my 150 minute version. if you have the original 2 tape miniseries on vhs -i'll send you $$$$ and you make me a copy and send it to me please!!  |

I'm not exactly sure why that is Sukka. My DVD says "approx. 150 mins," and the two tapes together are 176. I can tell you that I've never come across anyone who has the DVD with scenes missing from it.
I think if you're still not sure, try to find a store locally that sells it. If you get it and it doesn't have all the scenes, try to take it back to the store, and as politely as you can, explain your predicament and tell them that you just want a store credit (since most stores won't take returns on opened products.) But I really don't think you're gonna run into that problem.

alright ivory you win. i won't bug you for it again. i'll keep searching . some one out there will have the full mini series. the temptation of having the temptations mini series made me think i could get you to copy yours but it was just my imagination, running away with me... every night on my knees i pray ,dear Lord hear my plea, please help me find it on cassette or dvd or i will surely die.... |
