i love the topics, i love the threads, but i was hoping to make a suggestion without offending anybody. it seems that threads starting out for example on david's first solo ends up 20 responses later on yogurt and outer space and who's drinking and blowing and all sorts of unrelated irrelevant stuff. i think it would be better that if you want to stray from the topic then start a new thread! let's try to start on paul's songs and not end up with i had frank jones give me a hicky in 1979! thanks!  love sukkafu |

Sukka, I know what you mean. But you are talking to the queen (me) of what we like to call "Fluff" which is off-topic, totally irrelevant, mind-numbingly boring conversation. Not only am I the queen of Fluff (which is not to be confused with AKA the Fuf, ha ha) but some of the other posters here are the Royal Princesses. Over the years we've talked about everything from Krispy Kremes to David Ruffin's ankles and everything in between. Just be glad we haven't started serving one another cyber food................. yet! I post on other message boards where there is a great deal of policing the messages as to whether they are on topic or not and I can tell you I HATE that. I'll never be the type of moderator who says, "this message is innappropriate, dont' post it here." I'm in favor of the free flow of conversation, no matter what the subject may be. But how about a compromise? How about we all try to stay on topic in the subject-oriented topics (the ones below this one, "Temptations Today," "Classic Temptations," etc.) and save this topic "General Discussions" for talking about whatever? Of course again, there will be no policing of this rule, I'm not gonna enforce it or get on to anyone for posting off-topic as I want everyone here to feel comfortable talking about whatever they want to talk about (within the reasonable limits of civil, polite, friendly conversation of course.) If we agree to try to do this, I hope those who prefer to see less "fluff" will be understanding of the less-serious posts and simply skip over them when the appear. But my question for you is: Did Frank Jones REALLY give you a hicky in 1979? ;D  |

ive, you are the moderator so i follow you and not vice versa. you're right and i believe the site is doing just fine. frank was probably drunk and really didn't mean it, ha ha - i refer you to the kiss scene from the titans movie! ;D
