Yup, definitely interesting, I'd say.
I heard a question once that went something like, If the average American is overweight, wouldn't their weight be the average, and everyone else underweight?

well, the funny thing is young laydee -we have so much more health knowledge and so much more technology today that people are glued to tv sets, movies, computers, and physical work is so absent from their daily routine. people rely more on pills than on prevention. exercise is what we insist on- to exercise our right to sit around !

I'm part of the non-exercising group. I believe the only actual exercise I've ever gotten was that year and a half I played basketball for school. That was 8th and half of 9th grade.

Sukkafu- see the reference I made to your barbeque menu in 2000 zero zero party over oops out of time... The South is really SLOWWWW to change its habits of deep frying everything... including the Krispy Kremes.

Remember that one of the most popular sports in the South is NASCAR racin'. The participants are riding and the fans are watchin' while drinking beer and eating fried chicken in the stands.
That ought to give you a clue as to the 'fitness' craze down South, eh?

I've never been interested in Nascar racing, but I imagine Tdallas is hitting it dead-on with all that grease we consume down here.

I think that in a lot of northern cities, so-called "southern" food is eaten often, so that just proves that not only do people who live in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi eat "grease". I've never been in a city or known someone who hails from a city in which everyone is "overweight", "fat", "fit", or "underweight".

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say that I'm okay with the fact that so many are overweight because of the health risks involved, but I dig the fact that there are different shapes out there. That makes for different choices in clothing, right?

Quitters never win... That's a good attitude to have, Aba. I've never tried a diet, but I doubt I'd have the discipline it took anyway.
