vince is the grant hill of toronto. 2 great players-2 injured bodies.
stats time folks--- jordan tonight- 19 pts, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals-40 yrs old! 4 in a row for the wizards!
jason kidd and the nets(sounds like a hot group) won their 10th straight-aba!
allen iverson and the sickers( or is it the suxers) lost a heartbreak overtime game to indiana pacers. philly is now 19-15.
ROAD WORRIERS?= look at all the teams that stink awful on the road! tb, tell the chilluns why this is!
bulls=1-14 grizzlies=1-13 cavs=2-16 hawks=2-14 raptors=4-15 nuggets=3-13 lakers=4-14 warriors=4-11 knicks=3-9 clips=5-10 bucks=6-12 sixers=6-12 wizards=6-11 suns=6-10 rockets=5-9 magic=7-12 hornets=8-13 spurs=7-10 t'wolves=7-10 jazz=8-9 ================= the bottom 9 teams all have overall winning records! but look how tough it is for many to win on the road, especially the young grizzlies-who by the why have won 9 out of their last 13! that's after starting the season 0-13! coach brown is rockin memphis! ====================================== finally-here's one reason why nj nets are hot-look at jason kidd-lifetime stats= 14.5 points per game, 6.4 reb, 9.4 assists, 2.1 steals, 77% fta, 33%3pt.av, 41%fga. now look at him this yr- 20.4 pts. per game, 6 reb, 9 assists, 86% freethrows, 46% field goals,2.2 steals, most are career highs!

i know, tb, but why is dallas, and seattle , and detroit, and last 3 yrs lakers good road teams?
what makes a good road team? i know being away from home, away from your fans, frequent travel, living out of a suitcase, back to back games in different cities,-all can take their toll. but the court is still the same dimensions. i know, though, that the old boston garden floor had a different feeling to it from age and there were dead spots on it that the celtics were used to. i know that in denver, the nuggets used to be superior with the doug moe run and gun , as they had alex english and they would wear out the other teams at high altitude.
is it veteran teams only that can hang with road trips?
how did you do on the road, aba? did you hate it? how did you win?

Hey Sukka, whats the Lakers record?

Post by sukkafu on Jan 7, 2003 17:18:08 GMT -5
overall it is 14-20. it is terrible. they were 3-9 without shaq and fox. they're 11-11 since then. not very good. they play a hot/cold seattle team who'll give them fits, because teams get up for the lakers -then you can say you beat the 3 time world champs.

I just want to warn you that Shaq had 36 and 18 with 5 blocks the other night which tells me he is gettin into shape. That means trouble for all those in his wake. It is still enough time to save the lakers, I don't know but all you have to do is be in it for a chance to win it. ;D

Heu sukkafu....I was like Willie Nelson.... On the Road Again...didn't bother me none!!! ;D The problem is the travel. When you play five games in eight nights in three different time zones, it begins to take its toll.
