Thank you Diva and Jane for sharing the other shows we can see our beloved temp actors featured.
Whose idea was it to have them tour with the real Temps??? Now that's an awesome idea, Way Cool!
Diva you know what eles tickles me is how Otis acts at the shows. I'm talking bout the part of the show where they introduce one another and ofcourse Otis is due to get a special recognition/usually a standing ovation but it is funny as hell to me the expression of shock/modesty he continues to display at each and every show. Too cute!

I saw Carol Channing in a production of "Hello Dolly." At the end she comes out from behind the curtain and talks to the audience. She tells you what a wonderful audience you have been and how much your attention has meant to her. She tells you how she loves your town. In every way she makes you feel wonderful and oh so special. Now people who have seen that production in other towns said she said the same thing in every town, and, innocent me, I could hardly believe it. And in a way I am right. For many, many reasons she was appreciative of our applause and enthusiasm. That's what an actor, an entertainer does--thrive on the audience's appreciation.
The shock/modesty that you think Otis displays is probably honest too. Even though Carol said the same thing to every audience, she probably meant it too. After all, our attendance was her lifeblood just as our attendance and enthusiasm is Otis' lifeblood. And how could an entertainer not love an enthusiastic audience.
And Otis's shock and modesty are honest because he probably knows the public can turn on an entertainer/s overnight. One day they are famous nationally, the next they can't get a booking in a roadside cafe. Real reason to be thankful.

Good Point Jane. I wasn't trying to say that his expressions weren't sincere but rather that they were so comical becuase you know just about every entertainer loves special attention especially when they are in a group. Otis was concious of the popularity rank throughout the years. That's why he put in the movie that scene with David saying, "Ain't nobody coming to see you Otis!, You WUSH you could work it they way I do...hua but you can't...." The truth of the matter is (in my opinion anyway) that while Otis has a nice voice he wouldn't get the magnitude of props that he does if other members of the classic five were still alive. Question- on the main page of the info site Ivory thanks you for providing the tip that the dvd has cut out scenes. I have the dvd but I bought it a long time ago. Is there another one out with deleted scene cause mine doesn't have any. Thanks in advance for the info. [glow=blue,2,300]MY CLASSIC FIVE RANKING IS AS FOLLOWS: EDDIE KENDRICK (1) PAUL WILLIAMS (2) DAVID RUFFIN (3) MELVIN FRANKLIN(4) OTIS WILLIAMS (5)[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]CURRENT LINE UP RANK ==> >:(HARRY MCGILBERRY:-*(1)"THAT VOICE, DEM EYES TALK ABOUT A *MEAN* BOOM" TERRY WEEKS(2)"TOO CUTE" (((BO HARRINGTON)))(3)"SO SWEET & NICE" RON TYSON(4)"SIMPLY ~SHAMOOOOVE~ YOUR VOCAL RANGE DRIVES ME INSANE" {{{{OTIS WILLIAMS}}}}(5)"CAN'T HAVE THE TEMPS WITHOUT YOU...MUCH RESPECT & LOVE[/glow];D

Hi Puff...looks like Ivory is still recovering!
The DVD I own doesn't have much in the way of special stuff. The "cut out scenes" she mentions are the ones that are missing from the commercial one-tape VHS movie that were in the actual mini-series and on the 2-tape VHS that NBC seems to be selling. Scenes like Paul drunkenly singing "For Once In My Life" at the party celebrating the Grammy, David and Eddie singing "You're My Everything" in the club...lots of "parts of scenes" like that. I think even the Park-barbque scene was cut out of the commercial 150 min. VHS (haven't watched it in so long I forget).

Those neo signs puts excitement in the posts. I love everyone of them.
As far as the temptation movie, if they ever have another motown movie, they are just gonna have to get Leon to play David. He owns that part.
There will be a broadway show in NY on Motown Music. BG has given the go ahead to playwright David E. Talbert to start the project which will be entitled "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" to deput in mid-2003. I wonder if Leon does plays.
