dad's getting over his pneumonia, but he has a case of diabetes from taking prednazone. they're trying to clear that up. then they're tapping his lungs and removing more fluid.still in hospital-50 days.

elise has lupus but she hasn't had to take prednazone for it.

just found out that dad has a hole in his lung. he's upset because now he's got to stay a few more days in the hospital. they're draining blood and fluid and hoping it'll close up or else they'll have to sew it shut.
he had a very painful tube put in the hole. not fun at all.

thank you,bugs! it was not fun talking to him today. i tried to encourage him, and he was in despair.
i feel really bad for him. God will bless him. i know that.

same old stuff- dad's not well and he feels down in the dumps. they might bring a shrink to talk to him and help him cope with recovery.still has the hole in his lung and coughing up blood.

worst day yet- got 2 calls from my brothers saying dad was in emergency surgery for internal bleeding caused by the hole in his lung- got another call hours latr to say that he was in recovery.

dad has given up. he won't take his medicine, he won't eat, and he is so malnourished, and he won't open his eyes. my mother is so upset and so is the rest of my family. 1%-)
