Sukkafu and the whole family have been called back to Baltimore to be with his Dad. He will get to B'more this evening. Things are not looking too good at this time. He still considers the Board members to be his "extended family" and wants you to know where things stand. Thanks for all the love, patience, and support you've shown to Stephen over these last few months. The ups and downs have really taken their toll. But... we all know that God never puts more on us than we can handle as long as we trust in Him to help us through. Please continue to pray for the Caruso/Kramer family. Will do, TDallas. Thank you for keeping us informed. |

"Dad's got about a week left according to the doctor. Mom said his kidneys are failing and dialysis won't help now"

Man, I'm sorry for coming in here so late. I wasn't a member when this first happened. But, I've been watching this thread. I'm sorry for not giving my support before. I spent time in the hospital with the next door neighbor, in her final days, being mentally affected by a severe stroke. Also, I saw my dad's aunt in the hospital several times when she was suffering with cancer. She was terminal, and I saw her in her final days as well. My prayers are with you and your family. Keep us updated.  |

thank you very kindly, jay! you are truly a caring young man. i'm sorry to hear about your sadness too. it also must be tough with the aforementioned medical struggles you've gone through. i hope you are feeling well.
as far as the latest, tonight i received a call from my family stating that dad has a few hours left if a day. it's been quite an ordeal, as yesterday was 7 months in the hospital. :crying:

It's never easy, but you just take a deep breath, and take the card God deals to you. I'm so sorry to hear that your dad has taken a bad turn. But, you've been told this before, right? Just call on God again, asking for His support. I know I will. He's been there in the past. Your dad has made it this far, by all odds, so who knows what tomorrow may bring. I almost lost my dad in Janurary 2001. Him being in the hospital was the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. But, I prayed, long and hard. I'm now happy to say my dad is safely upstairs, sleeping in his bed. God is good...  |
