Just got back from the weekend in Lakeville and what a weekend it was. Put together my man, anniversary, the Tempts and the Cove and people life is good! The Tempts were their usual gorgeous sexy selves and put on a show that did not disappoint. They brought down the house and everyolne who saw them was still going on about the show even this morning. I saw GC in the cafe earlier in the day Sunday and exchanged a brief word with him and was thrilled when I was seated right in front of him during the show, like about 6 feet away from him and it was a really fun show. You don't get tickets so you don't know where you're seated till you get there. Needless to say I was like a kid in a candy shop! There were 2 young couples seated with us who became instant fans. They had no idea what they were about to see, were very impressed and were really anxious to see them again. After shaking hands with the Tempts the girls swore they weren't going to ever wash their hands again. It was really sweet. I love to be around people young or old who have never heard our fellas before. I have yet to hear anyone who is not impressed and most look forward to hearing them again. But we knew that!
Ok enough babbeling and on to the particulars. The outfits were tone on tone pink jackets and slacks with white shirts with pink on the front and cuffs and white shoes. Very simple yet completely put together and sexy as anything I've seen yet or looking so good they should have been illegal!

Otis really did drop a few pounds and he looked great. He was his usual proud self working the crowd as only O can do and loving every minute of it! He really interacts well with the fans as do all of Tempts. It always amazes me how down to earth they are with the fans and what a comfortable feeling they bring to the fans with their show. It's very nice.
Ron is so very cool. He's got so much class and is so understated and he just lets his voice speak for him and man does it ever speak volumes! It's not hard to understand why he does most of their outfit designs given his great sense of style.
Terry did his thing on SILMB and the crowd just loved it. But we knew that! To watch him move and hear him is such a joy. I really miss his leads. I absolutely loved him on Some Enchanted Evening. I wish they'd bring that one back.
Then ther's GC. I've said it before -- what a performer! He was at the top of his game as usual, unbelievable on Rain and definately showed his "Dr. Love" self on Stay. However his My Girl just melts my heart and that's just a sentimental thing. Then there's GC's smile. When you lock eyes with him and he smiles this whole face lights up. That man has an absolutely beautiful smile.
And oh my, Joe. I think we heard the debut of Ole Man River. I know Coey reported that they would include it in Sept. and no one reported that it was done before Sunday night.
Anyway it was unbelievalbe -- I thought I'd cry it was that good. To hear Joe on the parts of the songs he performs is one thing but to hear him do this is totally another. I can't imagine anyone not coming away with a new appreciation for Joe after hearing him -- he was just perfect! The Tempts harmonies were so tight and acapella yet at that. To me it was the Tempts at their finest. I think Blu was most certainly smiling down. Joe did him proud!
Ole Man River was the new addition to the show and the rest of it remained the same as reported from AC.
So there you have it. Thanks for your indulgence. Hope you enjoyed!
