AC- 8,9,10 April 2005

Well.. sorry im late with a review.. but I just got in from 6 glorious days in AC

Friday .. they came out in the best outfit IVe sen them in... it was a soft butter yellow..double breasted, with shoulder pads ... made them all look soo trim and I just love a man in a double breasted suit!!!.. they were sooooo good.. they did this little tribute thing.. which I hadnt seen before... Eddie, paul david....tribute.. this time in AC the audience just cheered and yelled and clapped... and screamed for them... GC was sizzlin hot!!! I was on the far left.. and OMG.. you can hear Joe sooo goood!!!! and I aint lyin.. the FLOOR SHOOK!!!!! with his rumble!! they were soo good...
Saturday was the white tux's with the shirt that has the 2 black stripes around the cuff.. and they were on the mark again! course I dont expect anything less of them they give such a good show.. and of course I have TONS of pictures!!!.. Sunday was the black suit with the white piping around the collar.. I swear.. I cant remeber what song it was.. bu I never seen O move like this before!! he must have jumpped 2 ft off the ground in that routine.. they all jumped up.. and did that arm out wiggle waist thing... ohhhh.. all three nights were soooo great!!! and.... Otis made an announcement.. that yes indeed in September JOE will be singing Ole Man River.. I think that is such a compliment to Joe.. now we will really hear a solo by him... even tho there are just harry fans around and only Melvin fans.. I think it is great that they think Joe can do the job.. some pretty big shoes to fill but I know Joe can do it.. he was soo on top of the game all 3 nights...
Terry.. was as good as Terry always is.. which is great....!! Ron.. I dunno... god really blessed that guy with his voice...
afterwards.. soo many pple rushed the stage for handshakes.. and signatures.. I backed way off to the side of the stage so that I could get some pics of them shakin hands with everyone... hope they all turn out!!
I was in my room all day Monday... with some pictures that had gotten developed.. all on th big mirror in the room.. going to my withdrawls..
the shows take soo long to get here.. and before you know it. its done.. I think I need some therapy!!
they had quite a few new steps.. that i was just not expecting.. no matter how many times you see them.. you can never catch all they do...
AL was such a sweetheart,, Adrian was great.. the horny horn section was justgreat.. everyone was at the top of their performance this past weekend....
( they even did the call someone on your cell phone)
If I had to pick a part that ment the most.. for me it would have been the tribute they did to David Eddie and Paul...
there were some pretty old pple sitting behind me .... and they even got up and danced and sang along.. canes and all I would have LOVED for them to be some of those that were able to go backstage because I saw the one older woman with a a cane.. just crying her eyes out,, ohh just thinking about it.. gives me goosebumps!!
ohh BTW.. Winetender.. i got a pic of you at the edge of the stage.. shakin Rons hand.. but I have to wait til I get back to work to throw these pics on CD)
All I can say is.. they did it a gain.. packed house.. pple were begging other pple to give up their tickets!!!

Fantastic Review, Coey! They Really Do Get Greater With Every Show & There's Always Something New! I Think You Covered Just About Everything! No One Missed A Note Or Step, & Joe's Voice Seemed To Shake The Whole Room! That's The 2nd Time They Did The Cell Phone Part! "JMI" Is On My Boyfriend's Answering Machine, & "Stay" Is On Mine! We're Going Through Pictures Later Today; Should Be Some Of Coey & Cathy! Between The 3 Of Us, There Has To Be Some Good Ones, & Hopefully Short Videos! After The Show We Checked Out The New Addition Called "The Quarters"! We Went Into 'TSOP", & G.C. Came In (still in show outfit) Looking For His Cousin, Saw Us, Asked If We Enjoyed The Show, & Had A Drink With Us! What A Nice Guy! I'll Try To Post Pics Later Today Or Tommorrow! If You Haven't Seen This Line Up, You Really Should Try To Go! You Won't Be Disappointed!

Uh Oh! Just To Clarify, They Were Not The Smileys I Clicked On When I Posted! Oh!... They Changed; They Were More Like , Then "Cheers With The Mugs", & Didn't Want Anyone To Get The Wrong Idea!

Glad to hear Coey and Winetender that you had a great time in AC and that the fellas did not dissapoint. It so seems that you think you've heard them at their absolute best until the next time you hear them and they just go and sound so much better! I'm trying to stay calm until Sunday night and I was doing OK until I started reading the reviews from the weekend. Thanks for the great reviews, nice job, really appreciate it!

In the nineties, they alwyas made some kind of tribute to Eddie David and Paul. Could you tell us what was done? Many think they don't recognize those guys but I knowthey do.

I would also like to see them do a live DVD show. That would be real smart if you ask me and it would sell. I hope the Reveiw DVD sells like hot cakes as well.............

Ill have to refresh my memory.. but I do know one of the tribute they did.. I was soo busy with the camera and the phone.. but I remebering being sooo impressed with them doing the Dont look back of Pauls... Ihad held my breath on that one..
I talke to Otis one of the days and asked if there was going to be a new Concert Video/dvd.. he said.. well.. we are thiking about it.. so you never know.. and he did menetion about going into the studio soon to do a new a CD... Ill have to sit down and relive the concert.. to remeber what the other two songs were.. but they did say something like.. rmeber.. back in.. 196_.. Eddie kendricks... remeber this one.. and then sang.. and they did similar for Daivd and Paul.... it was near the first 1/2 of the concerts...I really was just taken aback when I heard them doing Pauls... it was soo good..... they do change things around a bit.. its subtle.. but you do catch it...
shoot Ieven told him we can rent 3 vidoe cams.. sit someone on each side and one in front.. and shoot a whole concert like that.. for free.. and try our best to put ittogether.. that way it wouldnt cost much of anything... .. he kind of laffed and smiled at that idea.....
( excuse the typos... rented fingernails...and Im not about to pull them off just yet.. lol)

I could be mistaken.. but I think the one for David was.. Its growing.....
Ill have to double check my memory.. and ask a couple of other pple that went if I got that right...

I dont think the ATPTB was a special tribute.. cuz they always do that one.... girl..im just racking my brain right now trying to think. it was such a wirlwind.. and it threw me off guard.....I just put the word out to a few other pple. to see if they remeber... all I know for sure was that it was a surprise. and threw me off guard...... but it was great.. as soon as I find out exactly.. ill post it.... I know Weaky got a cell phone concert.. and she sat down with paper and pen in hand.. maybe she wrote it down...
