As far as Melvin goes, he not only sang Old Man River but also Swannee and I Truly Believe as well..he was also the spokesman for the group then and so you got a healthy dose of Melvin throughout that era after Paul left. IMO, Truly For YOu should be part of the rotation. It is Ron's signature song to me. And Terry could give me some Don't Look Back.

I think some of you guys miss the point. When you look at the lineup today, you see some very capable singers.
Terry did have voice problems - but now that they are gone, there has to be some reason why he does not do some the old Paul leads. When he sang SILMB, his voice was strong and the performance was top notch. It hurts to watch him doing background - that is what we expect (and love) about O - that is what he is there for.
As for Ron, you can't count as leads the songs he sings in the medley - first of all, no one really wants to hear I'll be In Trouble or Please Return your Love to Me. Only old, old Tempts fans know these songs. They want Ron out doing the full lenght versions of TWYDTHYD, Just My Imaginiation, and GET Ready.
For Joe, yes he is the best since Blu. But he does not have to sing lead to be out front. They can give him the Mike to introduce songs or make jokes or anything else because his personality is there but he is not given the chance.
As for GC, this was my first time seeing him. He is asked to carry alomost the whole show and by the end of the night he sings tired and looks tired. I don't blame him - he is not so young anymore.
Bog O, he did the job. This is the best I have seen him in years. He was thinner, and he actually was singing loud into the mike. He played with the audience all night - they loved it. But a lot of the songs where he has great background parts were not included this night like Cloud Nine or Runaway Child or Psychedelic Shack where he carries the whole background.
Also, to answer some of you, there was no tribute to the C5. No mention of any of them at all. But I can live with that - this is O's group now not the C5.
As far as not coming out to do an encore, this is wrong. The audience was up the whole night so they knew they had put on a good show. It's not enough to finish the song, shake hands, wave, and go off.
With theiir material, there is always room for one more. The audience deserved more.
Tell me what you think.

Shout outs to (((((((((((((((((((((((((((Everybody)))))))))))))))))!
Hey (((Cory)))! I attended 29 concerts from 2000 to 2003, and ((((Barrington)))) DID NOT do most of the leads. When BO was a member of the Tempts, (((Terry)))) lead "Confusion" and "Papa" plus he had the leads with "I'm Here" and "Selfish Reason" for the "Grammy Award Winning "Ear" and "4 Days" for the "Awesome" cd . It was a three-lead singer concert!! When (((G.C.))) joined the group, that's when Terry went to just leading "Since I Lost My Baby". When I saw the Tempts in Dec of last year, I did get an Exciting Treat hearing Terry sing some of his parts I'm use to hearing.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I think that Terry's voice got to be such a problem that they had to hire G.C., cause it was probably felt that BO could not do all the songs that G.C. is doing. I think if this wasn't true, Terry would have still been leading the songs he had originally lead, cause G.C. was suppose to be just taking BO's place. I was disappointed too at first, cause I was feeling that them having G.C. do all the songs was taking away from what the Tempations are known for - Three Lead Singers! TTYAL!
