:(WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES...19 LITTLE HOURS

Ah, where to begin.

As always they were sharp, professional, classy all the way. They were "on their game" every second of the way. There was never any doubt that, indeed, these were the legendary tempting Temptations. And this group is fantastic. Their singing was awesome; their dancing spectacular; their professionalism very evident. These were the Temptations .

The outfits, at least the jackets, were some I had never seen before. The jackets were red (style was different), shirts and pants were black, and how they get those shoes so shiny, I'll never know.

When I drove up to the Casino, there was a line of cars, and practically all the way there the traffic was horrendous. I had to endure cries of "I told you we should have left hours earlier." So when we saw the long line going to the doors, everyone said, "Use valet parking. We'll never find a place to park."

Although I had seats in the 4th row, four men who looked to be the front line for an NFL team sat in front of me. They were nice looking, nicely dressed, but they certainly were big enough to block my view. I thought there must be a professional team in town or a coaching convention. And men turned out to play an unusual role in this concert. At one point, and it had never occurred before, men suddenly went up to the stage to shake the Tempts hands in the middle of the concert. I had seen women do this, but this time there were men, ordinary men, eager to touch the Tempts.

Suddenly another BIG man sat next to me and immediately got his cell phone out and called someone. I heard the word coach and then the strangest bits of conversation. Several times he said, "I love you," but I had the distinct impression he was talking to a male. He talked of God's presence being with this person, that his prayers were with him, and that in a few weeks they'd get their two families together. I thought he looks like a coach, but he must be a minister. He told me he was a high school coach, his wife had an emergency and hadn't been able to come, and that he saw several Temptation concerts a year. I said, "Terry's is such a good dancer" as we watched Terry dance his heart out and never give up. And he replied, "Terry's my favorite Temptation."

At the end of the concert, I was at the stage and this coach came up and shook Joe's hand and it was obvious that Joe knew him very well. Tyson came over and had a few words too. So I turned to him and said, "So you know the Temptations," and he replied, "I was Terry's teacher in high school."

And now I understood whom he had called when he sat down. He had called Terry to tell him he was at the concert. His first words had been, "THis is Coach."

Their energy level was unbelievable. I so love to watch people who are a class act. There's something unbelievable about watching "the best in the field" and the Tempts are that.
