Havent seen anyone post anything on this yet.
but Tempts at the Trop in AC for 3 Nights..
Ima going... and the icing on the Tempt cake is some of us are getting some of our backs worked on by a D.O. Dr ( one of the girls hubbys) now thats what I call icing on the cake! ( Dont ask me what a DO is.. I have no clue.. Im Chiropratic-deficient *s*

A 'D.O.' is A Doctor Of Osteopathy! The Only Difference Between A 'D.O. & An M.D. Is That A 'D.O.' Is Taught To Treat His/Her Patients With Empathy & Sympathy, & Still Uses Osteopathic Manipulation (similar To A Chiropractor)! Several Years Ago, A D.O. Had 2 Years Less Schooling Than M.D.s! This Is No Longer The Case! They Take The Same Tests To Apply For Medical School, & The Same State Boards To Become A Practicing Physician Now!  |

Since no one's done it yet I'll try to give a review from the Saturday night concert in AC and just hope I do the guys proud. They wore black jackets with white or ivory pants with a black pin stripe and black and white patent shoes. Our guys looked so gooooood it should have illegal! LOL Please forgive me that I can't list the songs they sang because when they walk on stage I get Temptations tunnel vision and I'm not real capable of a rational thought process. The songs and the order are much the same as the last few shows I've seen and others have reported. The guys seemed to be having a great night. Otis has such confidence in himself and the rest of the guys and it really shows in that he seems to be much more light and relaxed and he really seemed to be having alot of fun. It was his birthday and they brought out a cake and we all sang happy birthday to him and that was really special. He was very pleased with that as he was all smiles. Ron was the MC as usual. He does a great job with that and of course that voice and his leads are to die for. I wish they would do a few more songs that he leads on. His voice is out of this world and he is so smooth. I could listen to him all night and think nothing of it. Terry really puts on a show on Since I Lost My Baby. He sang the you know what out of that song getting down on his one knee and all. That man can move. Why he's like the energizer bunny, he just doesn't stop from the time he hits the stage. He's such a cutie. GC also sang the you know what out of Rain and pretty much all of his other leads. He's really found his niche and is working it for all its worth. Man he is such a performer. He just does his thing and he does it so very well. He's amazing to see and hear. Joe is like the epitome of cool. I think he's still finding his way but he's finding it very well. His voice is unbelievable. I don't know how well this will go over, but he just reminds me so much of Blu. He makes the place go crazy when its his turn to be heard or even when he speaks. He's got so much talent. The Tempts seem to be at the top of their game right now. Somebody help me here, is it just me or do they seem to be getting better and better. They really put on a great show. I was front row (I wouldn't want it any other way like Ivory says) and at the end when they were doing their greeting the audience got just a bit rowdie (sp?) I was right at the front of the stage and took a hit on the head with a book some lady who was trying to have signed. But hey if that's what I need to do to see the Tempt so be it! In the front row there were some of the people that post on Ron's concert review board but I didn't know who they were. I recognized Ellen because she had her camera. I also think I saw Coey but I wasn't sure. I did recognize ABA from his picture here. I introduced myself to him which is so out of character for me because I'm so terribly shy. I just had a feeling from what I read from him here that he would be very gracious and I was right. That was the best, seeing people from the boards that I read all the time. It's great to put faces to the names. Well enough time taken, I tried to do my best without rambling and I hope I made sense because I'm still on Cloud Nine and will be for quite some time.

ABA was having a good ole time. The guys were so glad to see him and vice versa. Some lady asked me if ABA was really a friend of theirs and I said oh sure, one of their best! That to-do thing - do it sooner than later.

Well I was going to post a review but Sudinni said it so well, there's no need to add to it.............  I had a chance to talk to each of the fellows for a while. I found out Joe went to my arch rival HS in DC.......Terry and I talked hoops fo a while and of course Ron and Otis and I laughed all night at all the concerts.........one funny moment during Sat. show, Otis lost a bling-bling bracelet on the stage during a song. I winced for the rest of the song watching the guys just miss stepping on it and when the song was over, I pointed it out to Otis and they stopped singing and all started looking for it while ROn talked. I think he thought something was wrong so he turned around to see what the fuss was about and forgot what he was saying..........we got a big laugh out of that. What Terry did, and he was in fine voice by the way, on SILMB was too cold..............he fell on his knees with the guys around him singing, What YOu Gon Do Terry? And he sang, I Don't know! It was serious! And GC, well I hate to dissapoint those who don't think he is a Temp cause the man is a professional entertainer. He was awesome. IWIWR and DLB were killers with im in the lead........I mean the way he strutted accross the stage on Don't Look Back!!!!! We sat and talked about that very thing after Friday's show and and he is very happy to be a part of the legend that is the Temptations........What I got out of it was that they seem to be happy for a change.............all of them........happy to be singing to gether and it showed in the performances. It was an upbeat show all the way and I'm glad I had a chance to be there even if Otis and Ron messed with me the whole time. ;D ;D Don't sleep this group..........they are good and they looked hungry to me.......... |

Sudini - I think I am even more anxious to meet Aba than I am to see the Tempts or the Review. He's one of my FAVORITE people and I'm glad he really enjoyed the concert Saturday. I hope to get the chance to head up to AC sometime in the future and enjoy a concert with him. Glad you had such a great time, Sudini.   |

Hi Aba! Glad to read your review! Sounds like you really had a great time. I hope to be able to come up and attend a concert series in AC and party with you. I know they are scheduled for several more weekends - so I'll have to plan on making a trip north. |

I just wanted to add that during the weekend, I met many people I had only "seen" through internet online eyes. To meet them in person was as much of a treat as seeing the guys again because I knew that everyone of them there was there for the same reason I was, the see and enjoy the Temptations and we were not disappointed. I even got to talk to some later on in one of the suites at the hotel and we talked about some of everything............ya'll know who ya'll are............i ain't droppin' no names here!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D It was a Temptations fest to say the least.........only problem I had was one woman who insisted I was Otis Williams........I told her I wasn't but she claimed to have seen me in the Lounge sitting with ROn and GC and was told I was in the group..............Finally I told her, "Woman I ain't no Otis Williams!!!! I got hair!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hi everyone!!! just getting back now from AC and the flight from hell!!! 8 hour plane ride took a whole lot longer.. but I had my concert memories to get me throught that flight.. it was an AWESOME weekend being there for all 3 shows!! they were soooo great!!!! GC is SUCH a sweetie.. and sooo good!!!!!!!! got great pics too... And Ron.. I cant think of any words to discribe how great he was!!! Joe.. OMG!! what a voice!!!! Terry stole the SILMB.. gave me goosbumps!!! and O.. Big Daddy.. Oh Lord have Mercy.....THought I was gonna faint when he said.. Ladies.. let me ask ya to do ONE ...........LITTLE......... THING... ...."

"ANYTHING.. ..! " ya dont even know ya said it and said it outloud when ya were only thinking of saying it!!!!
and meeting the others from here, and other boards.. was the icing on the cake..haning at the lounge afterwards.. dancing.. talking.. was SUCH a great time !On my last day there, when a few came to my room to say goodbye...I lost it.. told myself I wasnt gonna cry.. but I did...couldnt help it!!! every night we closed the lounge... and hung out on our floor.. in the lobby.. just talking or going into the room and watching older concert videos., etc.. GUess I aint too old for all this late night stuff.. because I sure wasnt tired!!!!!! till we were all talked out.. shoot.. even some of the lounge act came up and hung out with us.. ( course the youngest was there to get to know someones daughter a little better as an alterior motive..)
all in all. it was the BEST vacation I EVER HAD.. 3 nights of the guys.. meeting other board members, dancin..( on Sunday..after that leisure suit larry got done with his set.. in the lounge..a group finally came up and got us all going again.and..one board member on SUnday. hadnt danced in years.. and we even got her up dancin.. and she just couldnt stop after that!!! and that little collection I took up at work for my Temptation Vacation Donation jar before I left for AC.. gave me close to $100.00 for a WHOLE LOTTA FUN!!!
maybe when I get some sleep ( been up for over 36 hours right now) Ill get on and really read the reviews to see if I can add to it.
Sud,,I cant remeber if I metyou or not.. were you close enuff up front that we might have gottten you to sign the card?.. Maybe I did meet you and just didnt remeber names.names were crazy!!.. real name. online name.. I got them all mixed up!!! Friday I was front right.. wearing a dress that I kind of think was alittle bit too fancy for my taste but oh well.. and Saturday.. another memeber and I we walking around to pple we knew and some we sure didnt, to get a big card signed by whoever we could find, for O Bday... hahah get this!!! the night before.. we were all on our rooms lobby.. just hanging.. a *workin girl* came up with some people.. and when she left her "room".. the party was winding down.. we even got her to sign O's card, Saturday.. we were actually in a row that was farther back. Sud.. Saturday I was in black cocktail pants with a black shirt that had little sparkles.carrying a BIG Bday card Reddish hair.. . so if thats what you saw Yeah it was me..wish I could have met ya and invited you to hang at the lounge!!and then on Sunday we were front right away.. wearing Tempts and Ron gear.. thought we'd go casual that night.. Ron seemed to really like seeing people wearing the gear.. with his cute little smile.. I did get a Tshirt made Sunday from aplace on the board walk.. and had something ironed on it from I think I think it was Arsenio's show..something about "good to go.. love Big O".. but I didnt have the courage to wear THAT... so grabbed the Ron tshirt instead..

oh..wait!! someone had brought about 15 lbs of candy with them. we were passin that out.. all 3 nights in our hall/lobby of our room.. we got discounted food tickets.. for the brunch. and other things.. cuz the employees would come to our floor.. and get some candy!! pays to be friendly *s*

For a while I thought I was the only person attending Temptations' concerts throughout the year. So glad to read all the reviews and find that all of you think they are as wonderful as I do.
They truly are the "Temptin', Tantalizing, legendary Temptations.
