Check this out Fans!!!! From Chatty Cathy.. talk about being at the right place at the right time!!!!!! GUESS WHAT?  ? We came to Detroit today to see Al McKenzie in a concert at a mall. It was great and Penny Wells was with him. You ought to check her CD out on Al's site. She's really good! THEN, are you ready for this? ?? Just so happens it was the day of the Motown museum Gala. AND, we were at the same hotel! We saw the fellas coming off the elevator.... of course we did an about face and followed the fellas but didn't bother them. Well, except when Ron got in the elevator and I just had to wave and say 'hi' Tyson'. He was his normal sweet self! Oh the best is yet to come! Got to say 'hi legend' to my OTIS too. People paid $250 per person to get in. We stood outside the ballroom for 4 (FOUR) hours. The guys walked right by us and Ron stopped, called me MY LOVE while he was givin me a hug, hugged the girls and shook David's hand. Great guy! They left the doors open to the ballroom, so we got to see and hear an ENTIRE CONCERT! While we were hangin out, a very nice man gave each of the girls a souvenir journal from the show. After the concert we again saw Terry and Joe who were cool enough to sign the girls journals! OH, just thought I'd mention this........ I was talkin to Terry and he put his arm around me and said 'want a picture?' DUH!!!!!!!!!! Just him and me, cept Liz said she was shaking so bad it might not have turned out! How about that for a free, unexpected concert?! It even took the sting out of David scraping the entire side of our van! Goin home tomorrow..... on a cloud! |

If they loved them so much, they should have taken them IN to the $250 a plate dinner! (ha ha, kidding) ............... you know, I went to a $400 a plate dinner last weekend and they wouldn't even let you choose dessert. There's just something basically wrong with that. They let you choose your own dessert at the iHop!  |

Hey Jane *s* It wasnt me.. I didnt go with them.. im out here inSeattle.. but she posted it to Rons site.. then she called me.. there was sooo much excitement in her voice.. kind of felt like I was there.. what luck hey.. and didnt even have to pay to hear them! she had an amazing day before leaving to go back to Ohio...

Hi everyone! I am new on here. I am from detroit and the temptations and motown are my pride an joy. I am only 17 years old but I have loved them all my life. I am a member of Mosaic youth Theatre in detroit  and we put on a show at the end of our season and this year the sow will be all about Motown entitled "Now That I Can Dance" We are teaming up with the museum to write it. Anyways on Saturday we performed at the same show you saw at the Marriott. After we performed we ran into the hall to see the Tempts perform. It was so awesome  Tears came to my eyes so many times. I had to fight them back. At first we were standing around the back just dancing. But then Martha Reeves walked in. I had to meet her. After talking for a few minutes she invited me to her table. When I got up there my boyfriend said come on let's dance so we did. They were singing Just my imagination. And there he was Terry looking as gorgeous as the picture i keep of him in my drawer. ;D I was so happy. We danced right to he front. Slowly everyone got on the dancefloor It was so great a bunch of 14-17 years olds singing songs our parents listened to as children. Anyways I was a very enthusiastic audience member. Terry sang right to me, holding my hand and evern got down on one knee. My friend told me to let go of his hand because I held it too long. I was like girl he holdin my hand and releaseed my grip to show her. Sure enough he ws still holding on!! ;D A few more moments passed between us and then he kissed my hand!! Forgive me for sounding like a teenybopper but I was in seventh heaven and I still haven't come back down!! Joe kept smiling at me he is an awesome performer!! And otis touched my hand he smiled and said hi pretty in the microphone. After the show we went back stage to the performers eating area and there they were again. Ron tyson shook my hand and Otis Williams kissed me on the cheek as did Joe. I gave Terry a loong hug and he kissed me on the cheek as well. I will post more later. I have to go now |

Cool 4Weaks ............... there's ALWAYS room for more Terry fans here! He's right up there with Blu, Otis, and Theo as one of my favorite Tempts. Did you get any pics?

Thanks for clearing it up. I guess I missed a sentence or two. I wondered about your going to Detroit from Seattle. But then no distance is too far for a Tempt fan.
But then I'd have gone except I have been doing nothing but traveling thousands of miles lately, and I did see the Tempts a couple of weeks ago.
