Kalisa,I didn't say that I heard the song. Never said that Bobby Womack was responsible for everything wrong in David's life. Just said that Bobby was said to have introduced David to drugs. Just like Bobby's brother got Mary Wells strung out on heroin! That's what was said. I think the rest is going overboard, and I don't recall seeing anyone saying that Bobby ruined David's live. I may be wrong, and if I am then please direct my attention to where it was said.

No, you didn't say that you heard the song. and if I'd left your name off the list of those who had heard it, you would have complained about that, too...cuz I'd bet you HAVE heard it whether you SAID it or not. The implications made by this thread are that if Otis didn't cause David's problems, Bobby Womack did..by introducing him to drugs, which David continued to use and which ultimately caused his death. If the implication there isn't that Bobby "ruined David's life" then I don't know what is. Have we had enough semantic games? Cuz I'm out.

The point that I wanted to make in regard to the Bobby/David friendship was that I (personally) don't think someone/anyone (in general) who offers for free, sells or makes palatable drugs to another person deserves to be called a true friend. I don't understand why and how such a statement could have been blown out of proportion the way it was in this thread.

I have nothing to gain by saying that I didn't hear something that I did. You know me much better than that. Maybe you think someone else that you know heard it,I did too. Not the case on this one. I didn't hear the song. When and if I do I will say so.!
