Richard sells out 3 Chicago shows

Just reporting back from having spent the weekend with Richard Street and his group this weekend. It was such a pleasure to host them while in Chicago for a 3 show stint.

They performed on Saturday 2/14 at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles, IL. The set was incredible. The 900 seat theater was sold out as well.

The next night, there were 2 sold out shows at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, IL. They subbed in Can't Get Next to You for Papa.

On Sunday morning we had brunch, were the boys got up and sang with the band for a few tunes. It was a riot.

The singers with Richard were:

Clayton Hooker - bass
Terrence Forsythe - tenor (lead on I Wish It Would Rain)
Bob Henley - (Sang with Smokey for 10 years)
Walter Jones - (sings with Enchantment)

Terrence was incredible on I Wish It Would Rain. He certainly brings the house down with that one.

Clayton is hilarious. He was cracking everyone up with his jokes in the limo.

All in all, it was an incredible weekend. We definitely will have a lot more Chicago plays for Richard. If you haven't caught his show yet, it is a must.

Well, could anyone tell Richard that he has some loyal fans in the "other" part of the States, too?

Yeah, unfortunately, it averages out to just one per state. I think that's what our problem is.

It's true! ................. how many people do you know that actually know who Richard is? ............ we're all RIGHT HERE!

And not even ALL of us would pay to see Richard. I mean you would, I would, Hype would pay his life savings to see him, and a few other folks, but even a lot of people here on the board wouldn't go see him because he's not a classic Tempt or he's not in the group now.

We should start a poll "would you pay to see Richard."

They may not remember his name....but once he sings...they will know who he is. Heck, they call Otis "Melvin" so at least Richard can remind the people with his voice who he is....what's Otis gonna do?
Why can't Hype/Cheech/whomever the name of the week is...speak for himself?
