Went to Westbury Music Fair to have Motown Night with The Contours,Martha & The Vandallas,Mary Wilson's Supremes & Dennis Edwards& The Temptations Review and this is the story.
Missed the Contours...came in when Martha had her "Jimmy Mack" goin' on Dancing In The Street,with Nowhere To Run To...Nowhere To Hide,Honey Child ! After her set....intermission....then the real show started! I'm walking toward the ramp where the performers make their entrance to the stage...it's a theater in the round,so they come through the audience to get to and leave the stage,and I hear someone say kind of loud enough for me to hear and know that they are speaking to me..."What's up,"OLD" man,keyword being OLD. I turn to my right and it's Dennis (who else would have the NERVE to say that to me! ;D) I say to him.."Man ,give me some of that Just For Men and I'll be straight" Laugh time. Then I tap David Sea on the shoulder to ask him (BEG) a favor...."Please David,if you are gonna sing "I Wish It Would Rain"..don't let it rain too hard,I have on all white..so please work with me on this?" He starts laughing before he turns around because he knows who is saying this to him. Looks at me and says.."Man,you are in trouble NOW ! It's gonna RAIN for sure up in HERE !" We are seated right near the ramp near the dressing rooms,so the performers walk right beside our seats(Mom's at the end seat so she can see everything) The rest of the group comes over to say hello Chris,Mike,& Bernard...the band,too. Now for Mary...she surprised me! She put on a very good show! She messed with my mind coming out right near me with a red dress that made me think of a Whispers song..and the lyrics of the song hitting me upside my head..Do They Turn You On all night,till dawn? Do they bring out the freak in you..and
I was getting ready to cheat on Gladys! 
Back to Mary...I remember the last time I saw her and she was not..entertaning to me ,but she did her thing saturday night She sang Supremes songs Baby Love,Love Child,Reflections.Keep Me Hanging On,two non supremes songs Stop! In The Name Of Love and Someday,We'll Be Together! I was impressed,and it was not just the dress..she PERFORMED and when she left the stage..two guys were sitting in the row in front of me kissed her..then she kissed me..I like that exchange.
Now they were getting the stage set for the Review. I was introudced as "A friend of Eddie's" to Martha Reeves and sat with her during most of the Review show. The Review gave a spirited performance dressed in black double-breasted sutis and white shirts,white bowties,singing Standing On The Top,Psychedelic Shack,Hello Young Lovers,Papa Was A Rolling Stone,Mike lit the crowd up with Rainy Night In Georgia,Get Ready,Beauty's Only Skin Deep,Girl,Why You Want to Make Me Blue,Don't Look Back,Lady Soul ,The Way You Do The Things You Do,I Wish It Would Rain,God Bless America,My Girl ,Just My Imagination and Stay. The group was very light on their feet,especially during Chris's singing of Get Ready, David Sea was really getting down,Dennis too didn't look like a sixty year old... more like a thirty five year old! (Is that why he calls me "OLD MAN" ?
) Then I realized...Paul was in the house... he died on that date. And his spirit was there in the Review! ![]()

But that's the gentleman in me, ( I need to have this problem checked out....the gentleman thing comes out at the worst possible moments...LOL) Can't Help At What I Am !

LOL, that post must have been for someone who doesn't know you. Remember I KNOW just how beautiful this lady is..Am sure in her life, NO man has ever run away from her. Nice story though ;D Wonder if I should start a poll and SEA if anyone is buying it.
