It's plain heart-warming to find the Funk Brothers are continuing to tour, and that their music is finally being recognized, in time for at least some of them to know we really appreciate them. Unfortunately, they don't seem to consider the South as a place to be. And they may be right.
Off hand, I'd think New Orleans would welcome them with open arms, but on second thought, I think probably not. N.O. wants to push the Dixieland Jazz as a tourist attraction and may not be too keen on Motown. But that's O.K. That leaves Detroit which is discovering their #1 tourist attraction is Hitsville. And I think soon to be BIG attractions will be the interactive Motown Museum and, I hope, much more.

They thought that Motown was a little too... bland. As for the interactive Motown Museum, well... I'm not holding my breath on this. They've had years to put something like that together. They need to open the vaults, that would be impressive.
