Went to a Temptations concert tonight and will go to another one tomorrow night.
It was fantastic. They were all in excellent voice, and their dance movements were so quick, energetic, and fluid. I could not believe how high they were jumping after an hour of singing and dancing. And they went on for another hour.
Otis sang a lead phrase during one song. And I loved the variety and number of songs they sang. And they were good.
I was right in the front row, and it was a tremendous experience. Now I see why everyone wants a ticket in the front row. I thought I was close the last concert, but this was even better. It is extra special when they come down and sing to you.
One of the special qualities of the experience was watching the joy and fun they were having in performing. Their eyes twinkled, they laughed with each other and the audience. The audience was having a wonderful time, and so too were the Tempts. When Ron said, "We're the Tempting Temptations," they were indeed." They wore their sherbet suits tonight.

See Jane, I told you going to the concerts would be the best thing for you. I know you would enjoy yourself, how could you pass up front row seats? You will be spoiled from now on. I'm very glad you enjoyed the show, enjoy the next one as well. You're on a Temptation roll aren't you. temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif :dancing:

Ah, yes. Tonight's seats are not quite as good, almost but not quite, as last night's, But I shall look at it in a positive manner and think that since I will be on the other side, I will get to see something different.
Heck, last year I enjoyed it when I sat in the balcony.
Remember that scene in the movie when the Tempts are doing "My Girl" on the Ed Sullivan Show. I always liked that scene because of the twinkles in Melvin's (DB Woodside) and Eddie's (Terron Brooks) eyes when they glanced at each other. The director was on to something there. The twinkling eyes reflected their joy and enthusiasm, inevitable results of finally reaching the top.
And that same twinkle was in their eyes last night. It may have been there before but last night I was close enough to see it.
Their voices were excellent, and their dancing matched the Classic Five. And Harry had the sexiest little dance step during one song when the lead singer was on.
I already have tickets to some more concerts this year. The ones with the Whispers, O'Jays, etc. appear to be inconveniently located for a quick trip, but I'd like to go to one.

ABA,
I have seen them all.
And that's why I like Otis' group.
Did you think I would form an opinion without first having seen them all? Never.
